Whirlpool stove/range

We have a Whirlpool stove that is just over 6 years old. It is now beeping at us, there is an error code on the LED where the oven temp would be. The book tells me I need to call for service. I am trying to avoid that as I lost my job last month and money is tight. We tried turning the circuit breaker off in hopes it would reset the stove but no luck. If anyone has any experience with this I would love ot hear it beforfe we place a service call.

THANK YOU This was very helpful. Looks like we need to have the ERC replaced. I am now researching if we can do this ourselves and if there is someplace locally we can get the part. Thanx again
