I swear, it's like they WANT to be able to accuse you of fraud.
I forgot to cancel my Mvelopes subscription in a timely manner. I'm more than willing to pay the $40 as a stupidity tax (and given the $800 I've earned on rewards programs this year so far, I'm ok with it to a certain extent). However, the credit card I gave them was the cancelled debit card. Ok, I'll update it to another card. But you can't do it online, and I only have my lunchtime when I can call, and it's always busy then. I e-mailed them asking what I should do. They offered a callback during their business hours.
Argh. And I can just see the advertisers being all "OMG! Look, this is why we must get real credit card numbers! OMG fraud."
I guess I'm stuck keeping on trying to get them.

I tried this out to. I found it to be overly complex for what I wanted. I didn't like that they wanted to link all your info. There was a lot of time to invest in getting it set up to work well. I didn't have any trouble getting through to them to cancel and I told them exactly why I was cancelling hoping that some of the issues could be fixed to make the product better. I do know someone who would probably really like this and have recommended that they try it.

Update-I was finally able to give them a working CC. Phew!
