Hi everyone!!

My boss and her family are leaving in a few weeks for four nights at WDW. (It will be two adults and a 12-year old girl).

They thought they knew EVERYTHING about WDW because they "went to the Magic Kingdom in California one time"

So, I have been patiently educating them on several things and they have been very apt pupils. But, they don't have all the wonderful little things about WDW hidden in their brains like we do!!

So, I thought I would get together a little list that goes...

While your waiting for your fastpass time for _____________ why don't you _________________.

For example: While you're waiting for your fastpass time for Splash Mountain, why don't you take a ride on the WDW Railroad.

Does anybody else have some suggestions???

Thanks in advance!!

While you're waiting for your fastpass time for Haunted Mansion, why don't you go see the Hall of Presidents.

* We have been to WDW many times and this was the first time we checked it out. It was a great show!

While you're waiting for your Fastpass for Test Track, ride Spaceship Earth.

While you're waiting for your fastpass time for Rockin' Rollercoaster, ride Tower of Terror.

We did this over the weekend, and because TOT had no line to speak of, we didn't wait for either one. We rode both so many times our heads were still spinning when we got back to our resort.

When at the AK in the morning, DW and I get the FP at the safari ride and then go to the Tusker House. We get those delicious cinnamon rolls and a cup of joe for breakfast. We go out to the courtyard and listen to the taped kitchen sounds. It's funny to watch the peoples reaction to the "kitchen sounds". It takes most people a few minutes to realize the sounds aren't live.

Space Mtn-TTA or Buzz
Buzz-Space Mtn or TTA
Alien could be an option, COP and timekeeper, if they're open, Speedway, the stores, the Space Mtn exit has an arcade and a cool little photo opportunity

Fastpass either Splash or Thunder, then ride the other one while you wait

While waiting for Kilamanjaro Safari, take a leisurely stroll along Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. It generally takes a while to go through here and if you are finished before your ride is ready, you can catch a snack at either the Harambe Fruit Stand or Tusker House.

Cyndo723,

We actually do exactly the opposite! We fastpass TOT and go to Rocking Coaster first on EE days which are Sat and Tues. During that first hour everyone is racing toward TOT that Aerosmith is empty...usually!

While you are waiting for your fastpass at Jungle Cruise ride Pirates of Carribean.

While waiting for your Fastpass @ HISTA ride Imagination

While waiting for your Fastpass @ TTBAB ride ....you know the only two rides I like at this park are Safari and Tough to be a Bug so..I am not one to ask on that!

Here are some that we have done:

While waiting for your FP at Peter Pan ride Snow White

While waiting for your FP at Space Mountain ride Tommorrowland Transit Authority

While waiting for your FP at Buzz Lightywar enjoy a frozen cherry minute maid drink

While waiting for your FP at Winnie the Pooh take a spin on the Mad Hatter Tea Cups

While waiting for your FP at Splash Mountain take a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road

While waiting for your FP at Kali River Rapids take a walk on the Maharajah Jungle Trek

While waiting for your FP at Dinosaur take a spin on Primeval Whirl

While waiting for your FP at Star Tours take a ride on the Backlot Tour

While waiting for your FP at Test Track, experience Body Wars (good combo  )

While waiting for your FP at Maelstrom, take a cruise on Rio De Tiempo

Brilliant Thread Idea!

Thanks

When waiting for your fasspass time stay out of the way of the entrance of the fasspass line! I don't know how many times I have to fight my way through the morons that clog up the fasspass line waiting for their time. So tell them not to go near the fasspass entry until their time is up. :D

Depending on the time of day and if the lines are rather long at most rides, we will find a cool place to have a drink or snack and relax or shop at stores that we don't always go into. Also finding a shady bench to people watch and check out all the Disney decorating details are always fun.:bounce:

Do the gorilla walking trail while waiting for the safari. Do the Asia walking trail while waiting for the rapids.

Here's a flip of the question -

We have a 10 am breakfast PS for CRT - which fastpass should we try to get before we go to the podium to check in?

This thread is terrific...OT - I want to go to the Disneyland Park someday just to compare them. My neighbor will not go to WDW because she saw DL as a kid. Huh?

Just to be sure to state the obvious ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS HAVE A FASTPASS for SOMETHING!!!

Get one when you first walk into the park. Get one before lunch. Get one as soon as the time runs out on the one you have or the 2 hour window is up. These things are the best ticket to a good time and no lines!!!:) :)

We did this several times: get a fastpass for Splash while going on Big Thunder or vice-versa. We also got a fastpass for Splash and then went and had lunch at Pecos Bills.

Get a Fastpass for Peter Pan and go on Small World or grab lunch at Village Haus. We got FP for Space and went on Buzz since the Buzz line was only 15 minutes and my boys liked being able to see all the Buzz decor in line.

Get a FP for Test Track and go see Cranium Command in the Wonders of Life pavilion- funny show.

Get a FP for the Land and grab lunch at the Food Fair or see the exhibits at the Ocean pavilion.

I agree with ALWAYS have a fastpass (if the crowds are there) and ALWAYS get a fastpass before you sit down for a meal. Everyone has to take time to eat and you might as well have a fastpass ready to go when you are done.

Here are some that I've done.

Space Mountain- Buzz Lightyear
Kilimanjaro Safaris- Pangani Forest Trail
It's Tough To Be A Bug- Tarzan RocTower of Terror- Backlot Tour
ks
Little Mermaid- One Man's Dream
Splash Mountain- Country Bear Jamboree and Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Test Track- Spaceship Earth and Universe of Energy
Maelstrom- El Rio Del Tiempo

While you're waiting for your fastpass time for Test Track, ride Ellen's Energy.

Maddle -

Get a fastpass for Jungle Cruise before CRT breakfast - worked well for us. Doing this again in July and probably before our CP lunch as well (different day).

We are going to get fastpasses for Dinosaur before going in to Donalds Breakfastaurus

Another one which worked well was to get a fastpass for Test Track, head to World Showcase - hit Mexico for Rio De Tempo and Norway for Maelstrom and then back to FW via Ice Station Cool for Test Track - we had a lot of time before our fastpass time.

I've done most of these myself:

While waiting for fastpass for Pooh ride Teacups
While waiting for fastpass for Peter Pan ride IASW
While waiting for fastpass for The Haunted Mansion took a nice ride on the Liberty Belle
While waiting for fastpass for Splash/Big Thunder ride either Pirates or if you have young kids head over to Tom Sawyer Island
While waiting for fastpass for The Jungle Cruise ride Pirates

While waiting for fastpass for Test Track you can do lots of things since usually the return time is quiet aways away from when you got it.
While waiting for fastpass for Malestrom ride El Rio and catch some of the street performances
While waiting for fastpass for the Land do Food Rocks and if there's time Circle of Life movie

While waiting for fastpass for Star Tours go do Sounds Dangerous or anything in the area
While waiting for fastpass for Indy Stunt Show go ride Star Tours
While waiting for fastpass for Mermaid do the animation tour if there's enough time or do Playhouse Disney show
While waiting for fastpass for Millionaire do backlot tour

I know I skipped all of AK and didn't do either of the big rides in Studios but I figured this will get someone well on their way to being prepared.
