While you are waiting for gates at MK to open ..can you? Use a restroom? Buy an autograph book? Rent a double stroller? Or do you have to wait to be let inside for these things. Or should you just be standing in line, waiting? What can you do when you first get there and how crazy is it? :flower: Thanks.

While you're waiting, there's really nothing to do. The restrooms are on the other side of the gates, as is the gift shop and the stroller rental.

You could buy an autograph book at a gift shop in the TTC or at a resort.

You could take pictures out in front or just wait in line, I haven't been there since the new MYW tickets have been introduced, so I'm not sure how long it's taking to get thru anymore :confused3

There are restrooms on the outside of the gate at MK. They are on the right, near the outside Guest Services.

The only thing you can purchase is park tickets.

Yes, you have to wait to get inside for the strollers.

You can rent for your entire stay on your first day, thereby saving you one line for future days. Just tell them how many days of park visits you'll need and they'll sell you a multiday pass with a small savings. Then on subsequent days you'll just get into the pickup line (if there is one). The pass is good for all parks, and for hopping as well-just don't get your dollar deposit back at the first park of the day.

There's an opening ceremony at MK, not sure about the other parks, so the wait is worth it to see the show.

Don't know about the stroller...

But we always bring poptarts and have a quick bite while in line (keeps us from having to get up quite so early.) We also bring park maps and let the kids study the maps while in line. We also use the time for applying sunblock.

I did not know about this! What a time saver!

Do the days have to be consecutive, or can you split them? For example, we're going for 10 days, but the middle four days we'll be on the DC (so we'll only need the stroller for 6 days.) When we purchase our pass, is it good for any six days, or the NEXT six days?

They have sometimes opened the line to "Buy" the strollers before the park opens too. You still have to wait until gates open to "get" the stroller though. I think the days are consecutive, so you might want to buy for first half of trip, then second half when you come back.

Does anyone know how much double stroller rentals are per day? How about if you get it for 4 days? Is there an AP discount on the rental? If it's going to cost more than just buying a double stroller, I'll need to get hopping to find one that will fit both boys.

Thanks
Mary

That is great you can rent the strollers for the entire stay. How long is that stroller line? I wonder too if you have an early PS at MK if you can rent a stroller early. Can you rent strollers at Downtown Disney or Boardwalk? Thanks for the help.

kpossible, Thanks so much for asking this, I have been wondering about the stroller question too. I guess the same goes for Birthday Buttons too, although I was hoping to be able to get it the day before when we are in the park. What are any opinions as far as getting to the rides first and then getting a stroller a bit later? DD is 4 so walking for a little in the morning won't be a problem at all.
Thanks!!

When we were there at Christmas I saw people paying for the strollers outside of the gates. Then when they walked in they were going through a pretty fast moving line where CM's were handing out the strollers.

When large crowds are expected, they will usually have an area set up by the world cruise dock @MK (the dock in the middle that you walk past to get to bag check)where you can pay for the strollers. They give you a receipt then you pick up the stroller when you get inside.

The gift shop on the right side of the gates is usually open before the gates open, and you can purchase an autgorpah book there before the park opens.

The rental fee on the double stroller is $15 per day - you get $1 back at the end of the day. As far as I know, there is not an AP discount on stroller rental. On Mousesavers, it says there is a 10% discount (or more) for multi-day stroller rentals.

I see no reason why you couldn't go get the Birthday Button the day before, since you'll be there. :)
