While we are on the subject of Ebay...

In a hurry said:
I don't know how to link, but the picture was a stock Squier strat pak with a Fender amp. The smaller picture is a smaller inadequate Squier Amp. The guitar appears to be the same, and I'm not fussing about the couple of items that weren't a part of the auction. The worth, is about $150 difference.

Thank you! I bought it for a Christmas gift and am just ready to bawl!

Sounds like you have a case, but it might have also been unintentional since they may have been looking for pictures of the guitar.

Intentional or not, you may have a case that they mislead you with the pictures if they didn't have disclaimers.

That's a good example of what I was describing. Stock pictures usually include things not included in the auction. They most certainly don't represent the quality of the item. That's why I rarely ever bid on auctions with stock photos.

Well, this buyer will certainly beware, a bit more. Thank you so much! I am really sorry to have side-tracked the discussion. It just seemed to connect with me!

Thank you Cardaway and crazy! I should have been more careful. I have never even considered going back on a deal before, so had no clue of what my rights might be.

Where are our lawyers?

It seems like a remember a couple of cases from business law that said that if a contract or ad was written in a manner that an average person might be mislead into believing some set of alternate facts -- the contract was unenforceable?

Regardless, if I fell for something like that -- I'd take a negative feedback long before you'd ever get that money out of me.

But yeah, read carefully. I almost bid on a piece of software the other day that had a great price and no bids ... when everything else similar was being bid on like crazy. I was like "what am I missing here???" I finally figured out that it stated "opened box" and this particular piece of software can only be registered on one computer.
