Go ahead... try to figure out WHY it was there. Im accepting all theories at this point.

They put it out for the rubbish people to take away? Do you have rubbish people? We do, and they'll take anything we leave on the side of the road as long as it isn't considered hazardous. (So no paint or chemicals or things like that.) The night before the rubbish people come, you can find all sorts of crazy things on the side of the road!

We have rubbish people but you have to put it in front of your house. This is on a somewhat busy road and around the corner from the nearest house.

I thought of the freecycle/craigslist thing but the thing is STILL THERE and its been several days. If it was meant for trash they would have coe by now I think.

I'll go with bathroom remodel. We did that last year and put our toilet outside and the trash people didn't take it. We had to call them back and ask them to come get it. They said it was an extra charge. I paid it as I didn't want to be the neighbor with a potty on their front lawn!

The other day I saw a house with 3 toilets lined up by the curb. Huh... But it did make me laugh

BTW I was safe. I did pull over to the side of the road and everything. I can just see explaining that one to the company insurance. "Im sorry your wife got hit because she stopped in the middle of the road to take a picture of what???" See? Perfectly reasonable.

When we used to rent in a small condo complex the neighbors that had the lawn facing the street made a planter box out of a toilet like that. We moved as fast as we could.
