We are trying to decide between dinner at 1900 PF or The Wave. I would love to hear any opinions as we have not been to either restaurant.

Wow - talk about diametrically opposed options.

I think it really comes down to what you want for that meal -- a character buffet with lots of family noise (it can be very noisy in there) or a more sedate meal built around fresh ingredients. One is an experience, the other is more focused on the food.

As the PP stated, they are both very different dining experiences. One is a character buffet. Good food as well as character interaction.

The other is a more subdued meal with no characters and, IMHO, better food.

All depends on what type of meal you are looking for.

Those are like apples and oranges.

The Wave is a nice quieter relaxing place that to me is very similar to a signature restaurant. Amazing food and great service

1900 PF is a zoo, kids running and screaming, touching the food on the buffet, pictures going off constantly, the food is terrible and the service is just as bad.

The Wave has very good food. 1900 has characters the food was just okay. I went back to 1900 this Aug because I haven't been there in over 10 years and will probably wait that long again to go back. So the ? is are you looking for food or characters.

I disagree about The Wave. We were really looking forward to this place after reading the menu. In the end, it was our least favorite restaurant from our trip. The food was not that good. We are not huge eaters and it left us still feeling hungry because there was so little of it. (We ended up getting something else about an hour after we ate.)

Shutters at the Caribbean Beach Resort turned out to be our favorite meal and we ended up going there twice!

The Wave is quiet, dark and food is great. Park Fare is loud, CM's were rude and the food left a lot to be desired. No Park Fare for us ever again.
