Which Would you Prefer?

Afternoon all, I have a Family party to attend in Late July.......I looked at all the Hotels in Orlando and well I am not convinced....of any of them......So I asked hubby if we could stay in WDW for the 2 nights and he said ok, I need a Disney Fix, ( Gawd I love him) So as a Fl Resident I can get the current Fl Resident Rate.....I Was thinking about Port Orleans Riverside, as This is the Only Moderate I have Never stayed at Or For my girls.....They would Love to stay at ANimal Kingdom Lodge, I can get a Standard View room for a Great Price.....The Difference Between the to resorts is only 30 dollars....So I am torn.....Any Advice from your experiences would be great....i have to make my Decision by Tomorrow......Thanks

I have stayed at the POR resort and loved it. I would, however, gladly pay $30 extra to stay at the AKL.

Hmm, tough one....since I have stayed at both, if faced with that choice, I think I would have to say POR for a few reasons:

You may end up with a lousy view with your standard room

Theres only one pool, albeit large, at AKL, whereas at POR you have your choice of 2 main pools and a bunch of quiet pools.

Surrey bikes and water activities are at POR

The food court at AKL is little, the foodcourt at POR is big, plus you got the food court at FQ you can eat at.

You'd have the boat to DTD at POR

Good Luck Choosing.....POR is also landscaped beautiful......you can go to AK and see animals, or you can resort hop over to AKL and see their animals.

Also I read if not mistaken that the Savannah Is closed till nest year and that AKL is under construction......

Really? They actually closed the Savannah?? Hmm. Well, in any case, we have always enjoyed our multiple stays at POR...when making your ressies, if you'd like to be as close to the food court/main house, ask for bldg. 14, its the closest. Also 15 and 18 are close, with #18 having a quiet pool.

Totally agree. For $30 there would be no doubt I would stay at AKL !!!
