We are meeting my nephew, his wife and their 6 year old daughter for dinner on Disney property. The choices we have that meet the time we need are: Capt. Grill, The Wave, Portobello, Wolfgang Puck Cafe. They live in Orlando and will not be able to join us for any parks due to time constraints. But since we are from the west coast would like to enjoy some time with them. Thinking The Wave would be good because we could pop over to some of the hotels for decorations - but is this a good place to eat for a 6 year old girl? Portobello's also sounds yummy - but then what would we do for a bit? What are some experiences peoples thoughts?

I would do Wolfgang Puck Express and then walk around DTD.

I like your idea of the Wave and then the Monorail resorts to see decorations.
I think this would be fun

I'd lean more towards one of the Downtown Disney restaurants. Riding the monorail is all well and good, as is taking in the resorts around there, but for a six year-old, there's so much more to see and do in the Marketplace area of Downtown.

I can see a kid that young getting bored pretty quickly with walking around a bunch of hotel lobbies.

One of the people that went with us last year you can say comparably has the palette of a 6 year old. And she was 21. so I would suggest WPE, mainly because it has more options. The Wave, I found it to have small portions and a more adult taste. The others just seem to be more geared towards adult dining tastes.
