Which would you pay for OOP?

I was originally planning on the QSDP when I booked our September reservations. But....my daughter mentioned really wanting to eat at Marrakesh, and I really wanted to eat at Coral Reef, and Sci-Fi and well suffice it to say we'll be upgrading to the DDP. We're there for 7 nights, but I'm planning on 9 ts meals. I'm thinking maybe the Sci-Fi lunch and the Boma breakfast would be the 2 to pay for OOP, but wanted to run it by some of the more seasoned Disney diners out there.

Here's the current plan

Day 1- Boma dinner

Day 2- Crystal Palace lunch

Day 3- Coral Reef dinner

Day 4- Sci-Fi lunch

Day 5- Boma Breakfast and Boma dinner. We're hanging out at the resort all day and I'm looking at possibly doing the sunset safari at AKL this day so the Boma dinner might not be needed.

Day 6- Tusker House lunch

Day 7- Marrakesh lunch and Teppan Edo dinner.


So that's 8, maybe 9 ts meals on a 7 night stay. Which would you pay for? And I get to make my ADR's TOMORROW! I'm getting so excited about this trip.

Sci Fi lunch is usually not too expensive. Depending on what you order for lunch at LeCellier, (e.g. burger $14 + soda $3) that could be less expensive than the breakfast buffet at Boma.

I would look at the menus and pick items that you might order at each restaurant. Make sure you include your beverage, dessert (if you think you will order) and tax. You can then figure out which restaurants will be the least expensive ones to pay OOP. I did a poor job of determing this on our last trip and wound up paying a little more OOP that I could have.

Thanks for the help. I ended up changing my mind and dropping the Le Cellier lunch in favor of a Teppan Edo dinner. and moving Marrakesh to lunch. At Marrakesh I'm pretty sure that I'd prefer to go with 2 appetizers and my daughter will want the vegetable couscous and then we'll share, so that's probably one of the OOP meals. I'm just going to have to study menus. But I can book my ADRs in just a few more minutes!!!!
