Chef Mickey's (dinner)
H&V (breakfast)
TRex (dinner)
Via Napoli (dinner)
BOG (lunch)
CRT (dinner)
Ohana (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (dinner)

I will be on the dining plan (not deluxe) either I pay OOP for some or I drop....not sure.

NOTE: This is solely based on characters and NOT food quality - except for Via Napoli where we do love their pizza.

Be our Guest lunch and T-Rex are no characters meals; personally speaking I would drop Chef Mickey's dinner (its not that great, and reservations get backed up so plan on spending a bit of time there); and unless something has changed H&V is just a hot mess of a restaurant in its entirety so I would drop that one too.

I'd drop T-Rex. Chef Mickey gets a bad rap around here, but if you're going for the characters and don't have high expectations for food, you'll be good. T-Rex has no characters and crap food.

BoG lunch is not a TS credit, it's a QS, so not sure if that makes a difference for you. If you're only worried about characters, then I'd drop TRex, as there are no characters. Otherwise, I'd drop H&V.

thanks..it I decide to drop H&V breakfast..I can still meet Jake and Sofia at the park correct?

Just for my kids, of course.

Jake yes, not sure about Sofia. Its been a while since DD has been into those characters.

H&V I would drop in a heartbeat.
I'd keep BOG lunch bc it is quick service not TS

I would drop TRexx. I have two children and they love Crystal Palace and the Winnie the Pooh / character parade at lunchtime (my DD thinks it's a "VERY FANCY restaurant, Mommy"... lol) and Chef Mickeys. pooh:

What's the party make up? Younger kids like different experiences than older ones.

You say to base on characters but Trex and bog lunch have none. If characters are your thing then cancel those. Though trex has animatronics and atmosphere. Beast will take a photo with you at dinner bog with photopass photographer.

if charecters are your thing don't cancel chef mickeys. All the classics are there. Food is ok.

H&v breakfast is Disney jr people. Go for dinner for Minnie and Mickey.

CRT is so expensive. But good princess interaction with Cinderella on the way in.

One I don't see on your list is the new bon voyage at the boardwalk with rapunzel and Flynn, Ariel and Eric. It's new and hasn't started yet so can't say how good it is or not. But looks good and is the only place you can meet Eric and Flynn.

drop T-Rex. mediocre food, no Disney characters. Way to many good options at Disney Springs to eat at one of the worst.

Chef Mickey's for sure. The character interaction is nice but not worth eating the swill they've serve.

Drop T-Rex. Won't be able to hear yourself think inside that restaurant due to the constant roaring in your ear. And the food isn't even worth the trouble. Way better options at Disney Springs.

So i agree with your comment but poster asked what to cancel based only on characters. And with that as the criteria you really can't drop chef Mickeys.

Sure you can! To me, I wouldn't waste an ADR on a meal where I could meet the same characters in the parks. It's just as easy to meet Mickey & friends at say Epcot Character Spot as it is at CM - you aren't paying an exhorbarant amount of money on bad food either,

I would stick with character meals that also provide a more unique experience and better food.

H&V.

You can meet Jake, Sofia and Doc back near Ariel's show and the Disney Jr show. Jake consistently the best greet.

•T. rex. Unless your kids are just over the top about dinosaurs. But is is LOUD and chaotic in there. And the portions are so large, it's comical. Ridiculous even.
•Chef Mickey. You can meet them
In the parks and still have your hair as opposed to the insanity that is chef mickeys, where you may pull it all out!
•H&V. Mediocre everything.

I'd swap for maybe a hoop dee doo dinner show not character specific but we have loved it for 20 years. It is a really good time for the whole family! Food, music, fun show, wine beer and sangria, if that's you jam, gratuity included and a nice photo too.

Character Interactions you can have outside of a meal with characters would be a priority for me. Your kids will have a more intimate and memorable one on one time with Mickey and friends at MK, than at chef mickeys! It seems as though you get just a lil bit longer when not in a restaurant. That has been our experience when our kids were younger.

If based only on characters, then for sure I'd drop BOG lunch since it has no characters.

If also considering food, I'd actually drop most of these.
