I currently have PS for Mickey's Backyard BBQ, but now I'm thinking that Hoop-Dee-Doo might be better?? We'll have DS4 and DS15m with us. It's really the highchair thing/seating that makes me think we should switch.

ALTHOUGH, I'm pregnant and might find more to eat at the BBQ. Chicken hasn't been my thing--of course, I never know from one minute to another what I can stomach. I have lots of food aversions that vary hour to hour while pregnant, so that might not end up mattering anyhow. Neither one of my kids are picky eaters, nor is my husband.

SO, what would you do--BBQ or Hoop-dee-doo? Or would you do something offsite?

Short Answer. If you want food, do the HHDR, for entertainment, either is great but I'd do the BBQ if your kids will enteract with the characters.

Long Answer. We do the HHDR almost every trip. My kids love it. (They are 2 & 4.) The food is good, but the plus is they are right next door to the buffet and can bring other things in if you really need them. (Last time the guy brought out like 5 different things trying to get my son to eat!). IMO it is also fresher than the food you will get at the BBQ. (The food was so bad at the BBQ that we ended up going back to our cabin and cooking something else.) You also have more drink choices at the HHDR. THe bbq was beer and lemonade, maybe tea, (no soda), If I'm remembering right.

We did the BBQ with my kids when they were 1.5 and 3. They had the BEST time. It is the best interaction you will ever get with the characters. The kids get to go and dance with them almost the entire time. Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Pluto, Goofy etc. They LOVED it!

They have high chairs at the BBQ. I just sat at the end of a table and put the highchair there.

Now the downside to the BBQ (beside the food) is that it is pure and utter chaos! We went in Sept, so it was really slow, can't imagine in the busy season. I was exhausted by the time the show was over (and I wasn't pg)!
