which would you chose...My husband and I are wanting to go to dinner just the 2 of us for a change. We are planning on taking the kids to one of the kids clubs. Which resturant would you chose? I am having a hard a time.
Thanks. :) princess:

I have not done Narcoossee's in years, but the menu looks good from what I just read. Actually both menus look wonderful....maybe you should check them out and see what appeals to you most.

People do love Jiko's....hopefully someone will post that has had a recent experience with Narcoossee's... :)

We did Narcoossee's last yr. for our anniv. It was fabulous! Haven't been to Jiko, so I can't compare the two. We're big seafood fans, though, so I'd go back to Narcoossee's.
:)

Even though I haven't been to either...Narcoosee's has a view of the MK and you could walk outside and watch the fireworks after...nothing could beat that!

We aren't big seafood eaters so we've never been to Narcoossee's. We have been to JIKO and it is WONDERFUL. They have a great menu with lots of diversity in apps, entrees and wine choices. In my opinion I would go to JIKO in a heartbeat for a special dinner out

You might also consider California Grill or Artists pointe at WL or wolf gang pucks in DTD. Just too many great choices!!!! Jinko is great and has the lodge which to check out while you are there. I haven't been to the other one you mentioned.

We've had three bad experiences in a row at Narcooses with service, and won't return, which is actually too bad because one of our favorite chef's is there now. But I'm not spending $150+ for bad service.

Jiko is by far a better choice.

I know someone else who will share my sentiments, I expect he'll be the next poster... ;)

Sorry to stifle your expectations! ;)

My wife and I ate at Narcoossee's in Oct. 04 and loved it. We had great service and an even better meal. The waitress brought us several samples of wine and dessert wine without making us feel rushed or scoffed at. We actually enjoyed the meal so much that she brought out the chef! I haven't been to Jiko's, but I can say that I truly enjoyed my experience at Narcoossee's. :)

We have eaten at Jiko twice and thought it was great-awesome food and service. Relaxing...very different experience from Boma. We had a banana/chocolate bread pudding that was unreal...and my DH usually hates all things banana and he loved it. We went to Narcoossee's in January. We were not happy with the service. We did not have a dedicated waiter and felt like whoever happened to notice our food sitting in the kitchen brought it out. As a result, we just felt forgotten and often our food was cold. There were some larger parties which appeared to be conventioneers with their families...maybe that caused our problem with the service. We felt the experience did not justify the large bill at the end. I'm sure everyone will have a different experience/perspective. Hope this helps.

My husband and I just experienced Jiko in June. It was wonderful. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I havent eaten at Jiko but have eaten at Narcoosees. The butternut squash soup was heavenly and the filets good, dessert awesome. This was before the Chef change though. Service wasnt bad but the waitress was a bit miserable. Lots of kids were there too. FYI portion sizes were quite generous compared to some pictures I have seen on the food pic thread of other restaurants. Plus you can get surf n turf or Lobster at Narcoosees. One of the reaason I would like to eat there again. :goodvibes Would also love to try Jiko as I think it is a beautiful restaurant.
