Chef Mickey or Park Fare? This is for my DD, it will be her first time to Disney. Thought a character dinner or lunch will be nice for our arrival day- no parks that day.

Well that would depend. Would your DD be more interested in seeing Alice/Mary Poppins/Pooh/Eeyore or more Mickey Mouse/ Minnie/Goofy/Chip/Dale?

I love both but have been to eat @ 1900 PF 4 times. It is beautiful there.

Chef Mickey's is fun as well, she may find it fun being on the monorail and you can resort hop after.

If you did 1900 Park Fare for dinner Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, and the Mice from the movie are all there. I don't know how old your daughter is, but my DD loved the dinner at the 1900 Park Fare more than Chef Mickey. She liked Chef Mickey, but she would much rather have dinner with Cinderella. Mary Poppins and ALice in Wonderland are at the 1900 Park Fare for breakfast only.

I have had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and really enjoyed it. I love the theming of the restaurant. DD and MIL are having the dinner with Cinderella and friends in October and we have the breakfast scheduled there also. :)

Have not tried Chef Mickey's so I can't really comment on that. :)

We did Park Fare and loved it. Cinderella Prince Charming and the mice were so great to see. The food was good too. The Prince came to our table twice DD was 13 months and she loved him!
I have never been to Chef Mickey's but have friends who must go every trip. They love the singing and napkin waving and practice at home! It is noisy but I can't comment on the food.

These are two very different kinds of meals, so it depends on what you're looking for. If you want princesses and a calmer atmosphere, go to Park Fare. If you want Mickey and the gang and a fun, noisy atmosphere go to Chef Mickey's. Both are great character meals, it just depends on what you prefer. :D

I agree... We did Park Fare back in February for my DD 7th b-day. She really enjoyed it. It was very calm, quiet (as quite as a Disney restaurant with kids can be :p )

We are going to go to Chef Mickey's :earsboy: this next trip in Dec. because we enjoyed the "wild and crazy" meals more last time! :jester:
