So we are a bunch of adults heading down to WDW this June for some anniversary celebration. The night we are at EPCOT we booked Chefs. We all went back and forth on that and Teppan Edo. I am wondering if we should do the hibachi because I feel like it will be more "fun" then chefs. I wanted to see Remy but I wondering if the rest of my party is even going to care about that.I have eaten at chefs and liked it but never at at Teppan edo. What would you do?

what time are you planning on eating? I don't think Remy appears all evening, maybe not past 6?

I would not like TE as i am not into that kind of diniing experence , most folks can find something they like at a french resturant and i Think your party will interact with eath other more, also TE is very much a show kitchen experience as well as food, which may affect your ability to hold a conversation.

The food is very good at both restaurants but we really enjoy the experience at Teppan Edo.

Thanks everyone...keep the suggestions coming:goodvibes

luvpooh- we have 5:15 ressies so I think he will be there.

We have a local restaurant that has hibachi tables and I have to say, to go with a group of friends is the BEST! It's really so much fun and not something you get to experience often. I vote for Teppan Edo.

My gut reaction was going to be "exactly - you can do this at home so why do it at WDW. You can't see Remy at any restaurants back home", but then I thought about how everything is just better at WDW, so the hibachi dinner experience is probably better there too! I have never done TE but I have done Chefs and really liked it. I voted for Chefs just because I like the dining experience there. I do agree that if you do hibachi, the experience becomes that instead of having dinner together. I think you are picking between two pretty good options - in other words, you can't go wrong.

See and I feel that you can have dinner with friends at any restaurant - but not always at a hibachi-style restaurant, especially if there aren't any in your area. I never went to one until I was nearly 30 because there weren't any where I previously lived. I do agree that you can't wrong since you're in Disney...WOW, Mickey_Man, we're no help are we? ;)

hahah you guys are too funny...I think you are making me more confused:rotfl:

I think in the vote Teppam Edo is winning though lol!

Double check about Remy, I'm almost positive I read he's only there for lunch. He is very cute! He was going to come home with us until he heard we have two cats!:rotfl2:

That said, we had lunch at both Chefs and Teppan Edo a few weeks ago. Teppan Edo would be more fun, and the food was wonderful, but my lunch at Chefs was very good too. DH's was okay, but he said it was nothing special.

The times of Remy's appearances are in this link. It looks like only one time at dinner, 5:20, Mon.-Sat.

We have several to-die-for hibachi style restaurants at home, so we have not booked Teppan Edo. I love going to that type of restaurant, it is really fun, but if I'm going to have a catch-up get-together with friends, I find it's a little harder to just focus on each other in that setting.

I agree that you probably can't go wrong, and I hope you have a really fun time!!!
