We aren't big breakfast eaters but would like to try a character meal this go round.

We've narrowed down our choices to Chef Mickey's and the Lilo & Stitch breakfast over at Polynesian (forgot the correct name).

Would love to hear your opinions on each and pictures would be awesome!

We went to Chef Mickey's last trip and loved it. But the food will be comparable at both places, I would pick whichever one has the characters you would rather see.

We enjoyed both breakfasts on the kids' first trip last year. If you want quintessential Disney, go to Chef Mickey's. However, I think I like the 'Ohana Best Friends Breakfast a little more. That may have had to do with the fact that we were staying at the Poly and literally rolled out of bed and into 'Ohana.

Well, CM has far more variety than 'Ohana. 'Ohana has yummy-delicious juice, though!!

We loved Ohana breakfast, great food and the pressed pot coffee really woke us up. The characters are so cute and fun, loved it so much we are going back in a few days

Have not been to CM breakfast yet but are trying it in March

We've not done Ohanas since they switched to family style and Stitch (sorry...we just don't like Stitch). We've done Chef Mickey's numerous times and enjoy the breakfast (like breakfast more than dinner) and the food is good and great character interaction. Now, we haven't been in about 8 years (as we always go to Crystal Palace for Pooh and friends) so I can't say how the food has been lately.

We've done both for breakfast and 'Ohana is my favorite of the two. CM had more variety, but I thought the food quality was better at 'Ohana. The bread and juice is just great, and they bring the food to you, so it's one less buffet line for me to stand in. :)

Haven't done the Lilo & Stitch, but we do Chef Mickey's almost every trip. We are big breakfast eaters and love Chef Mickey's.

As much as we love CM, Ohana for breakfast is our fave. Love looking out the windows while we eat. We usually do the breakfast on the morning we fly in so its nice to have it brought to us. Character interaction is great and the food is yummy.

In my opinion been going to Chef Mickey's for breakfast & dinner to many times to count. To me this is the best place to really get that Disney feeling :cool1:. It's good food & good fun. Love this place :thumbsup2

I haven't been to CM for breakfast, but I'd vote for it over Ohana, which we did try. I am not a big breakfast eater (do not like eggs in any way shape or form) so I found the Ohana breakfast kind of lacking - I liked the sausage and Mickey waffles and fruit. According to the menu on AllEars, CM has pastries, cereal, french toast, waffles, fruit, bacon, sausage, pancakes -- way more stuff that I like.

CM is buffet and O'hana is family style. :flower3:

In every conversation I've had about the choice between O'hana and CM the point comes up that shows a lot of people prefer the family style food service because you don't have to get up to get food possibly missing one or more of the characters.

:upsidedow And then there is the whole issue of buffets and germs.

I considered O'hana this trip, but DD has such a hard time waking early, and she is NOT a fan of Stitch, so I didn't. We did Chef Mickeys 2 years ago. The food is just OK, not bad, but not spectacular either. The atmosphere is fun though. Have you thought of Crystal Palace too. I heard good reviews on their breakfeast. I guess it depends on the characters you want to see. (or actually the ones your kids want, if you have some along!)

Here some pictures from 2 years ago. I didnt get any of the buffet though. Also DD was so tierd and practically falling asleep at the table.

Sorry, I don't have any pics, but we were at both on the last trip. CM was loud and a little more hectic because of the buffett, but a lot of fun for everyone with the napkin waving and classic characters. Ohana was sit down/family style, which I liked because with little ones, you aren't making 50 trips to the buffett. The character interaction was great and the kids loved the conga line through the restaurant. You can't go wrong with either; they were both great.:thumbsup2
