Hi there!

Me and Scott want to have a meal off by ourselves one night, so far we've managed to narrow down our dining option to six restaurants. We're also doing the Crystal Palace with my mum but we can only afford 2 TS meals in the holiday(we're stretching at that!) If you could only go to ONE of the six listed above, which would you choose? I want opinions based on everything, quality of the food, atmosphere, price, location - the works. We have a car so getting to resort restaurants won't be a problem.

Probably Le Cellier, which is one of my favourite restaurants :)

We've eaten at three of these - Le Cellier, Big River Grille and Brewing Works (outside at lunchtime - haven't been inside) and the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Of these, Le Cellier is my favourite, but I would only eat there if I happened to be at Epcot - I wouldn't make a special journey just to eat there. BRG&BW is one to try if you happen to be at the BoardWalk and it's lunchtime (so that and ESPN are the only options and you've already tried ESPN), IMHO. Definitely not one to single out for a special meal. I've eaten twice at the Grand Floridian Cafe - once a while ago for lunch (because we wanted to visit GF and it was the only lunch option) and once for breakfast when we were staying there. I don't love it, but can't really put my finger on why. A bit clinical, I suppose. Formulaic Disney - very like the Plaza Restaurant at MK, if you've ever eaten there.

Of these, Le Cellier is best for atmosphere by a mile. And for food. If you've got a car, though, I would take the opportunity to eat at a resort - you can eat at a park any time. Are these your only options? There are much better ones.

I haven't eaten at any of the above named, but if I had the chance of a nice meal for just me and hubby, then I would love to try Le Cellier - EPCOT :)

Let's put it this way, these are the only ones with food that can be modified easily enough to suit Scott. There isn't a single entree at ANY ts restaurant in any resort or park (minus hamburger and fries at about 2 of them) that he will eat without changing/substituting at least 1 thing. It has been a nightmare just finding these!!!! With price as another limiting factor, it's been awful narrowing down. Unfortunately Le Cellier may well be too pricey for us :(

Never been to any on the list but I would choose Concourse Steakhouse and will probably go there at some point myself, You cant go too far wrong with a nice steak and I was suprisingly taken with the Contempory when we went to CM last year.

We liked the Yacht Club Galley, the food was lovely and it is a bit tucked out the way so not overly busy. We found the service good and the beer was well how shall I put it but huge and very very cold :)

Claire ;)

Of those you listed Le Cellier is streets ahead (I have eaten at all of them). If that is too pricy consider lunch which is a bit better value and just as nice. Concourse steakhouse is also good and again cheaper at lunchtime. Do you have an AP or anything that will get you 10% off at resorts and some other places at lunch - every little helps!

I'm not sure my vote is going to help you much as I have eaten at only Grand Floridian for breakfast, Le Cellier and Boatwright's.

Of those, I agree with Deb's opinion about the GF Cafe as I didn't dislike it, but wouldn't rush to go back for a special meal. Boatwright's didn't do much for us at all - we thought it was over priced and over hyped. Le Cellier was okay, but we went before the refurbishment a few years ago, so maybe we'd prefer it now.

I've voted for the Yacht Club because I think the Boardwalk is a great location for an evening.

Well after much discussion and consideration of all aspects (including random things like having to find mum after we're done to get her home) we've decided to go for the Concourse Steakhouse. It's a great location as we can easily meet mum later on and watch Wishes together. Anyone know if there is a balcony at the Contemporary that non residents can see the fireworks from or can we go to the lakeside? Le Cellier would probably have edged it out if price wasn't a factor as we do love EPCOT. Chosen this one for the menu, price and being able to see fireworks after which would be a struggle with a couple.

Still thinking about stopping into Big River and/or Yacht Club Galley for light lunch when we're on the Boardwalk though!

You won't be able to access the CG viewing balcony, but there is nothing to stop you heading down to the lakeside.

I voted for Le Cellier but the Concourse is great too. I'm sure you will have a fab time.
