Which would you choose Rose and Crown or La Hacienda?

Okay I'm torn as to what to do. I have reservations at Rose and Crown for dinner. I really want to try the fish and chips. However I have read I can use a counter meal in Epcot for fish and chips thus freeing up a table meal for La Hacienda. Any suggesions as to what you think I should do? My DH would really love the beer at RC but the margaritas at LH sound good too:cool1:

For my liking, I'd go with Rose & Crown. I don't care for Mexican food and the Rose & Crown has some really good food. My favorite is the fish and chips. If you like Mexican food better, then go for La Hacienda.

Get the fish and chips and beer from the counter service part of the Rose and Crown, then do a proper sit down meal at La Hacienda. That way, both you and your hubby will be happy.:)

I like Rose and Crown. The food was good, we enjoyed the beer and dinner on the lagoon. I'm sure we'll go back one day, but for our next trip, we're planning on La Hacienda. I love Mexican food and the menu looks very good to me. Ultimately, it's a matter of preference - what cuisine do you like best? Which menu looks more appealing? I haven't actually eaten at La Hacienda yet, but it sounds promising and I suspect you'll have a good time either way.

My preference would be for La Hacienda as it's new and I'm keen to try it. Also being from England I can get fish & chips anytime but decent Mexican food is very hard to find...
You can still get the beer in the pub section of the Rose & Crown so DH wouldn't have to miss out there.

That is great news that I can use the counter meal at Rose and Crown for fish and chips!! Now I just need to be for sure La Hacienda is on the dinning plans. I have heard many different stories on that one!

Ha! You sound like me. I had an ADR at 180 days for the R&C at 7:45 hoping for a patio table. Last week I read some reviews, saw some awesome photos of La Hacienda during Illuminations, waffled back and forth about it, and finally canceled the R&C even though we've always enjoyed it, and got a 7:45 for La Hacienda. Time for me to get daring and try something new. ;)

La Hacienda is definitely on the dining plan even though it wasn't showing as such on the Disney site last week, it is now. I wouldn't have booked it otherwise with those prices!

I would go to La Hacienda when it reopens again since it is closed due to renovations.

Rose and Crown is one of my favorite places in the WS, but I'd go for La Hacienda because it's new. You can get fish & chips outside as CS or you can sit in the pub and get an order. (Mmmm, now I want an order of those fish and chips and it's only 9:15)

Personally, I would stick with Rose and Crown but we really like the place. I haven't been impressed with Mexican food at Epcot but I'm curious to see what people think about La Hacienda. We don't use the dining plan so it's quite pricey IMO.

Rose and Crown for the bangers and mash and sticky toffee pudding, they are both amazingly yum.
