Is there any difference as far as crowds/weather are concerned between going to WDW June 8-20 or July 6-18? Which would you choose? This will be my first summer trip. Thanks so much!

I would think June would be a little less crowded. Some schools are still in and it isn't quite as hot - though still swealtering none the less! We went that week last year and with planning, it wasn't bad.

july is hot and humid. and if you are from an area that isn't humid you will find out. best go june then july. smaller crowds in early june compared to july

i'm not sure we went last june and it wasnt bad

this year

one of my manager is going in may
we are going in june and
our other manager in going in july lol

I would say June for the same reasons already mentioned. I like it hot and humid but the sun can be quite intense in July and August.

This will be the 2nd year that we've gone the last week of June. Last year it was actually cooler and less humid than NYC that week so we lucked out. Just be sure to put on plenty of sun block, keep drinking water, and go with the flow. It's hot, but not unbearable as long as you pace yourself. Did I mention to wear sun block and drink plenty of water?

Last year we were at WDW 6/3-11/05. It was PACKED! I've never seen the Christmas or Easter season crowds, but after 20+ trips to WDW during every other season, I never saw it so crowded! Even IASM had 30+ min wait times! I'm not sure July is any better, but that's when we're going this year!

Last year early June crowds manageable, but rained a lot.

June is a little better since many of us up here in the North still have kids in school. (We end on about June 23rd each year.....)

Either way, lots of sunblock and water and a turn or two on COP when it just gets too hot. :)

I almost hate to even use the "h-word" here, but you will probably be less likely to have to deal with a hurricane in June.

The 'H' word. That's pretty good. I looked at that for a few seconds before I finished reading your sentence. But you are right, we now have a new 'bad' word in our vocabulary. I have new respect for the 'H' word these days as we had issues last year on our vacation with 2 hurricanes in Turks in Caicos. That's why I choose early June instead of later in the summer. Can't hurt to try and lessen my chances of becoming involved with an 'H' this year.

June 8-20 by a landslide....it's not as crowded (but crowds will grow from beginning to end) and slightly less hot and humid (although not by much). Those two weeks in July are packed, very hot and humid.....

Last June was very crowded, and attendance was up at all area theme parks. It will be interesting to see how they do this year. I believe a lot of folks were pulling money out of their homes and spending on vacations last year....will be interesting to see if the same holds true for this year.

I prefer June as well. Plan to take ponchos as it rains quite often but they're usually just quick showers. Also, I don't know if it matters to you or not but the first week is usually Gay Day at the different parks. Check gayday.com for their schedule.

June is a bit cooler and not as crowded. July is especially packed with foreign chool groups.
