Which would you choose? Jacuzzi vs. Disney Cruise

I voted cruise. I love a soak in a hot tub, too, but can't imagine I'd do it that often if I had one. We've traveled all over with our kids as babies/toddlers and it was great. (in some respects, easier than as older kids and now a teen!) We love seeing new things through their eyes.

From someone who has been in the hottub twice since it started snowing, hot tub!! We use ours all the time, except when it is really really hot, or really really cold.

The people we bought our house from, they said they used it all time time too, sometimes twice a day

Maintenance hasn't been anything crazy, either

Ok i voted Jacuzzi because that is the option you gave me.

However I would never by a hot tub made by Jacuzzi (it is a name brand used like q tip is for cotton swabs). I would look at an Elite by Maax. After being in the industry for as long as I have been we really narrowed down a quality tub with very little warranty issues. What ever you do I would avoid Dynasty. In my opinion they care very little for their customers and product. I would venture to say that we had issues on 90 % of the ones we sold. Whereas the Maax i would guess there are issues with maybe 4-5% (and they are minor issues).

We have a jacuzzi and use it probably 1-3 days a week. We love to sit in it and plan our Disney trips. We've spent many hours sitting in it discussing which resort to stay in and which restaurants to eat in. What I like about it is that it can be used year round.
Here though it is compulsary that it is fenced with pool fencing. I was suprised to see people mentioning that they wouldn't do the jacuzzi with small children. Its not an problem here as it has to be securely fenced. Of course the fencing is more expense again. My kids call it the mini swimming pool so we also use it to cool down in the summer.

I say Jacuzzi.

When ours was up and running we used it at least once a week (usually more). It broke around a year ago and we haven't had the money to replace it or fix it

The folks on this board would most likely tell you to go on a Disney Cruise before buying food for the family.

Really though, if you look at cruising with anyone else but Disney, you could probably do both.

Cruise for two reasons: 1 -- it sounds like it would be a great vacation. 2 -- I don't believe a jacuzzi would actually increase the value of your home. If you decide to get a jacuzzi b/c you really want one and believe the enjoymentyou get from it would be equal to or greater than the enjoyment you would get from a cruise, then I say go for it; buy the jacuzzi. I just don't think the alleged resale value/increased value of the house because of a jacuzzi should play into your decision. Again, that's just because I don't think it actually would increase the value.

Dollar for dollar, which one would give you more pleasure -- jacuzzi or cruise?

If I had to choose, i'd choose something that would give pleasure for longer than a week, the Jacquzzi.
