Well, I just can't make up my mind for our November trip :headache: .

I orginally wanted to stay at RPR on the club level because I love RPR and I've never tried their club level. But I heard they had the best club level out of the 3 hotels. But now that they will be doing renovations, I'm not sure how it will effect our stay.

My kids love the HRH so I'm thinking maybe we should stay here again since they have been newly renovated :confused3 . We've already stayed on club level here before and it was only O.K.

So which would you pick, a club level room at RPR going through renovations or a renovated room at HRH??

Thanks for the help!

We have the same dilemma do we do HRH club or RPR club. We did PBH club last year and wanted to try somewhere different. In the end we plumped for RPR . I might still change my mind yet. I will be watching to see how others get on at RPR over the summer with the renovations.

I really enjoyed HRH Club last summer. The HRH is my favorite Universal Hotel simply because of its location. I love that quick walk over to the Studios.:)

I'm going in August, staying at RPR, club level. I will post when I get back.

RPR renovations are due to be complete by December. That said, with HRH, they started renovations on the top floor and worked their way down. RPR Club is on the 7th floor, so that's a bonus. I am not sure what Tower they will start in, but I would have to think the club rooms would be done by November, so don't rule out RPR just because of renovations.

That said, we have stayed RPR Club 6x in 2 years. I think we have logged 30 days during that time (so it's not like we stay for one night here or there). The club staff at RPR is fantastic. For the first time ever, we are trying HRH for our next trip, just to try something new. Plus, we are Platinum and got tired of paying full price for Club when we could have a suite for the same price as a standard room. So, we'll give HRH a try in May. I couldn't bear staying at a King Suite at the RPR -- it'd break my heart when our suite wasn't in Tower 3/Floor 7.

If you have any questions about RPR Club, I am happy to help.

Thanks Alexandnessa :thumbsup2 . I'm going to go ahead and book the Club Level at RPR. Out of our 6 trips to USO I've always wanted to stay at RPR club and I'll probably kick myself if I don't do it this trip!!

I'll probably call the hotel in late June and see if the club level rooms are some of the first rooms to be renovated.

Is club level at RPR as good as I hear  . When we stayed at HRH club level, it was hard to find a seat during the morning and evening hours. And I thought the dessert offerings were a joke (oreos, chips-a-hoy and rice crispie bars). At least give me some homemade cookies.

Yes, they have good cookies at RPR, not chips ahoy or oreos! They have lots of different types of homemade cakes as well (No Entemanns, etc). They also have PB&J uncrustables, which were a bit hit with my husband. I have never stayed HRH Club, but I understand the RPR lounge is bigger. Wish you could do a search on my threads because last year I did manage to post some good ones of the lounge and the food offerings. We have never had a problem finding a seat, but then again, we never go during the summer months. Also, they have never run out of food, even when the lounge was busy. In fact, it's totally ashame what they throw away during morning service. I am always the last to get breakfast and see them take morning service down. They practically beg me to take food back to my hubby who never makes it to breakfast. We have always had wonderful luck with the staff members there. One of them left to go back to school, and we still keep in touch with her. :)

I know I am going to miss not staying Club this May, but we were ready for something new, and hubby wanted to check out the HRH renovations.

Anyway, if you have any specific questions or concerns or whatever, feel free to ask here or PM me.

Yeah, real baked goods and room to sit!! My kids love uncrustables. They don't like regular PB&J sandwhiches, but they do like when I buy uncrustables (I actually like them too :rolleyes1 ).

I did a search of RPR club level and I saw a review by you with a "beer bottle" montage. Very clever!! Although the pictures don't show the whole club lounge, I can get an idea of how it's decorated!!

Now, here's to hoping the club rooms will be renovated by time I arrive :wizard: . It'll be a double bonus, newly renovated room plus club level :thumbsup2 .
