Hi!:wave2:
Which would you choose for an Ann. dinner?....
California Grill...or Artists Point.....Just a nice quiet dinner for the two of us....I have never been to either...

We are taking my DS and family(9 of us all together) to WDW and staying at the poly....My and DHs 32nd Ann. will be the day after we go home....So we figured we might as well have a nice Ann.dinner at WDW a few days early instead of going to one of the places at home(BTDT :teeth: )....

TIA

My DW and I basically eat our way through the parks. CG is one of our favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is outstanding. A nice sunset meal around 8, a few drinks, and then make it out to the fireworks on the observatory deck. . . can't be beat. The food is top notch. Love the Sushi! But you can satisfy more traditional tastes with entrees like the pork loin.

As for Artist we ate there just once so this might be skewed. I was not overly impressed with the entire experience. The food was great, but the atmosphere I found to be a bit lacking. The view of the waterfall is only for half the room, whereas at CG no matter where you sit you have a great 360 degree panorama.

Both are definetly worth a try. CG is the way we choose to start every magical vacation.

Bump
Also ...Isnt CG the one that pipes in wishes?..

We posted at the same time :teeth:

Thanks ...CG was my first choice..., But I was reading about AP and thought it was just as easy to get to :confused3 ...
I do like the idea about watching wishes from the CG though...

Another vote for the CG. Just get a PS for Wishes. We did this for our 25th anniversary last Sept. It was wonderful.

Another vote for California Grill.

One of DH and my main objections to Artist Point is the noise level. When it is crowded, the noise just bounces off the walls and it is very hard to hold a quiet conversation. The food, however, we have found to be quite good.

California Grill! Artist Point was a nice restaurant but we didnt care for the food-not that it was terrible, but just not our taste.

CA Grill, definitely.

Try to get the private room and have dinner while the electric light parade is going on. You can hop over to the observation area to see Wishes, as well.

They can also make a cake for you if you let them know a day or so in advance!

I'm trying to decide this same thing, for our 25th anniversary in September...I read the menu for the CG and doesn't really do that much for me...do they fix simple stuff like just a steak there?? Currently thinking of the Poly Lua for the anniv meal...any comments on that? Thanks in advance..

CF!!! request the wine room. I think it has 6 tables & it's nomally fairly quiet. It faces the opposite side from MK.
