We (me, dh, ds13, ds11) are travelling to WDW April 2-6. Originally we considered on site (ASMu family suite, but have now decided to get more for our lodging $ and stay off site).

We are considering suites at these hotels ("my" package prices including air, park tix and rental car next to each):

Buena Vista Palace ($2900)
Caribe Royale Resort ($2225)
Embassy Suites LBV ($2430)
Doubletree Guest Suites - DT Disney ($2375)
Best Western LBV ($2182)
Quality Suites Maingate East ($2145)
Country Inn and Suites ($2216)

Which would you choose and why? Is there another you would recommend? Thank You!

Buena Vista Suites are nice and recently had a redo

now to the ones on your list

the Embassy has a full breakfast

Buena VIsta Palace, BW LBV, Double tree suites - are on DIsney property at downtown disney hotels

of them I would pick doubletree suites - just because they are bigger.

Quality suites and County Inn - should be alot less in price. if they are not don't even consider them.

Complete agreement with everything that Spiceycat said... :thumbsup2

Just some reinforcement on the Embassy Suites breakfast - it's not just another hotel breakfast. While I haven't stayed at the LBV location, I have stayed at the two up on International Drive. The ES breakfasts have a hot buffet PLUS they have a grill where you can have an omelet cooked to order.

for those prices I would go with BW at LBV - if you can get an address.

it reviews aren't always the greatest - but that is a good price for that hotel.

get a tower room and you should be fine.

just check the address

drive you car to everything except the MK - then take their bus - they don't get the access that Disney buses do -but at least she won't have to bother with the tram to get to your car.

Buena Vista Palace or DoubleTree (both at Downtown Disney) get my vote.
Both are Downtown Disney hotels located on Disney property, and they provide very good, complimentary transportation to Disney theme parks.

Of the two, I would pick BVP because it is one of the closest hotels to Downtown Disney Marketplace. It has a better pool/recreation area and is an all around nicer hotel. DoubleTree has bigger rooms, is the furthest Downtown Disney hotel from Downtown Disney, but is very close to Crossroads plaza and many restaurants on Route 535.

I'd be going w/ DoubleTree. #1 it is in the lower of the bunch for pricing. #2 it gets really good reviews. Can't beat saving a little money and still getting a nice place to stay.
