Which would be busier...Presidents Day weekend or Valentines Day weekend?

Possibly planning a last minute trip to Disneyland and trying to decide which weekend would be the least crowded. Any thoughts? Was Presidents Day crowded last year?

I'd have to run a search of reports to see if anyone commented so hopefully someone who was there will comment on last year, but as for your question in your subject line...

The problem with trying to answer that question is that last year Valentine's Day weekend WAS President's Day weekend.

This year, that is not the case.

I personally would avoid a holiday weekend if I had the choice.

My kids school (and I am sure many others) has both Mondays off (2/14 and 2/21) so I could see both weekends being busy.

Last year they were one and the same, but historically you'll find that President's Day weekend is busier. But, like the person above said...if you can avoid any holiday weekend you're better off....Disneyland is busy every weekend and the holiday just increases the crowds. If you have the choice, best to go weekdays without a holiday. The difference in crowds from weekdays to weekends is quite profound almost every single week....exceptions are when it rains...the locals tend to stay home so the weekends are better in rain.

Personally, I have enjoyed going in the rain....California rain tends to be rather tame (I live in Arizona where on the rare occasion that it does actually rain here, it's intense....we don't call it Monsoon for nothin'). A few rides will close for short periods, but overall it's business as usual...just wet and uncrowded, lol.
