Which would be best to reserve first?

Or maybe I should ask which would be harder to get later.

Anyway. I currently have 312 point available for next years vacation and I'm in the process of purchasing 70 more points with this year and next years both available for a total of 452 points to work with.

The problem is that my new contract hasn't closed yet and since I bought from a reseller it may be a couple of weeks more before I'm in the system for those points. So since I'm already in the 11 month window I was considering reserving what I have enough points for right now and then adding the rest later when the points come through. So my question is, what should I reserve now...

1) Two bed (dedicated), w/2 Queens in second room (200 points) & 1 Studio (70 points)

*I will need two more studios and I'm not sure if they will still be available in another month

OR
1) 3 Studios (210 points) & 2 nights in the dedicated (2Queen) 2 bedroom (80 points)

*I will need to add the other 3 nights in the 2 bedroom after my points come through.

I'm pretty sure that by the time my other points come through, the dedicated 2 bedrooms will all be gone. So I will be stuck in a regular two bedroom villa.
If decide to reserve the dedicated 2 bedroom now how likely will the studios be gone by the time I book the rest of the nights (probably around the 9 1/2 to 10 month mark)?

What resort? And what month are you trying to get. Hard to give you "odds" without that info.

I'm guessing BCV, and I think that you book as much of the dedicated 2 bedroom with the 2 Q's as you can. I think the studios will still be there a bit later when you can book, and you're right, I wouldn't want to miss out on the 2Q rooms.

Yes, BCV is the resort. The time frame is the end of June first few days of July (leaving on the 3rd).

So you feel that I should be able to still get 2 additional studios in about 3 weeks from now?

Before we owned at BCV, we usually were able to get a studio for a few nights in June toward the end of the month, and the nights were booked at 7 months out. So, yes, I think you'll be alright!

If you are truly worried, what about asking to book for cash? That way, you'll at least know you'll have rooms and you can always cancel them.

OK, I had to borrow some points but I ended up getting 2 dedicated 2 bedroom units with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. (that's a lot of 2's)

Now I'll have to get one studio as soon as my new points come through.
