OK, do I have this right? There are two express locations. One in DTD marketplace and one in westside (by the movie theaters). Is one better than the other? Are the menus the same? How about atmosphere? Is one better than the other? Do both have outside seating? We aren't going to be shopping just going in for dinner. Which would you choose? I'm thinking the westside might be less crowded for an early dinner. :confused3

Wolfgang Puck Express is in the Marketplace (Awesome btw)

Wolfgang Puck Cafe is Westside...there is also a more formal dining room upstairs with a different menu.

WPE is counter service while the cafe is table service.

Hope that helps!

Also check I know that the WPE Market Place you can use the dinning plan not for sure if you are on the plan but if I am not mistaken one of those Wolfgangs in the Westside does not take the plan.Ok I just looked on the official disney site it is the WPE westside that does not take the dinnig plan. The Wolfgang Cafe TS does.

The Wolfgang Puck Express in the West Side has a smaller menu than the location in the Marketplace. Not all of the menu items items in the Marketplace are served in the West Side. I prefer the Marketplace location because of the larger selection and increased amount of tables/seating space.

Thanks! I thought there were two expresses. One in Westside and one in the Marketplace. I had no idea that one of them would take the dining plan and the other one wouldn't. So glad you posted that Evan&Kimberly! I'll stick with Marketplace. :goodvibes

You will love the WPE Market Place, it is the greatest CS at WDW,I think next year I am going to check it out more, it was that good! I am also going to check out the Wolfgang Cafe Westside, it is one TS from the dinner plan, but the menu looks great, and it does take the Dinner Plan,It can be a bit confusing Wolfgang has the Cafe Westside which is one TS credit on the dinning plan but the dinnig room upstairs doesnt take the Dinner Plan and then you have the WPE Westside that does not take the dinner plan and then there is the great WPE Market Place that indeed takes the dinner plan and it is so worth it, I have heard so many people say that they wish that there was a WPE in the parks! that would be great, but if it was, one would more than likely need an ADR for it, you couldnt get in that place,so enjoy and come back and let us know what you think!By the way I am here in Augusta Ga. and we love Charleston!!

We just ate at Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace a couple weeks ago. We actually ate there twice. It is so good. My kids love it too. They did change the menu some from what we were used to since last year. They also added a Frozen Yogurt bar that you can pick your own toppings. I love how they redid the building and added more seating.

I still have my menu, if you have any questions.

Both WGE (marketplace) and WGCafe take the dining planing. The more formal dining room upstares (westside) doesn't.

It depends if you want counter service or table service.

Sorry, but I don't think you understand that there are TWO cs expresses. One in the marketplace and one in westside. That is what we are talking about. Kimberly&Even stated that the express in westside does not take the dining plan. We are not talking about the TS in westside. Thanks though! :goodvibes

I dont think everyone is aware that there is 2 Wolfgang Express and a Wolfgang Cafe thanks Charleston!

Wolfgang Express in DTD MARKET PLACE that DOES TAKE the dinner plan!

Wolfgang Express in DTD WEST SIDE that DOES NOT take the dinner plan!

Wolfgang Cafe in DTD Westside that DOES TAKE the dinner plan 1 TS!,but
the more formal dinning room upstairs DOES NOT TAKE the dinner plan

We enjoy the WPE at West End most. Maybe b/c we are adults w/o kids and West End is a little more 'adult' we make it our first night dinner, a shared pizza, a couple salads and a few beers, sitting out in the sidewalk dinning area watching people rush to get to Cirque or HOB, just chilling knowing we don't have to rush any where.

Actually, much to my surprise, BOTH Expresses took the DDP last month. Hoping they will do so again in December as I'd really like to try the bigger menu, with Macadamia Chicken and pot roast!

We just had dinner at the WPexpress last night in Westside, on our way to our last vist to the Adventurers Club :sad1:

The menu was better than the last time I remember. I had the pepperoni and mushroom pizzy, yummy! The fettucini alfredo at the next table looked wonderful!

When we were there last October, we loved hitting the WPE (downstairs from the TS Cafe) on the West Side late nights when we were heading back to our resort (Saratoga Springs). We'd pop in, use a few CS dining plan points and then jump right back on the bus to SSR.

This past July I ate at the WPE on the Marketplace side for the first time since they've renovated (hadn't eaten there since 2000), and it was fantastic. I love what they've done. Very nice atmosphere. It's counter service, but really had a table service feel.

We ate at WPE in the MarketPlace in August and loved it. For a CS restaurant it is the best value at WDW hands down.

We liked it so much that we considered eating at the WPE attached to the Cafe as well. They definitely take the Dining Plan as well (CS credits) but we decided not to eat there because they didn't have enough inside seating and it was lunch time and August. Need I say more?:rotfl2:

WestSide is not listed in the brochure but they do in fact still take the DDP. Or did as of two weeks ago. We had the Macadamia Chicken and the Pot Roast. Huge portions, great deal, pretty tasty (but I do like the Pot Roast at 50's PrimeTime better).

It was a very cold night so the place was empty as no one wanted to sit outside. Fortunately we managed to get two of about 5 seats at the counter.

You can't get creme brulee for dessert but you can have the same key lime pie and carrot cake that they serve in the restaurant. Both yummy! Also huge and tasty brownies.
