Hi Disboard fam. I need help with some plans. For reference, both of us has been to Disney before and are pretty familiar with the parks.

Son's #1 focus is Hollywood studios for Galaxies Edge.

I had a trip originally planned Jan 29 to Feb 3. Plan A!
This was to include a solo portion, friends joining, and then my teenage son joining. He would come late Saturday and the two of us would be together through departure late Tuesday evening. There is a chance my friends may not be able to come now so I am thinking of a possible change to include my son more in the trip, since this weekend I have to work around a school function.
On this trip (assuming my friends cannot join), I would have one full and two 1/2 solo days. DS with me, would have two full and two 1/2 days.

The other weekend that we can go is Thursday Feb 19 to Monday Feb 23. Plan B! We would be together the whole time.
We would have 3 full days and one 1/2 day (departure day).

Plan A: More cost effective. I have more solo time because there are things that I want to do that he may not be interested in. I already have hotel, flight, and some dining reservations set up. I planned at least a full day in HS but if we get hopper tickets, we could do even more than that, or morning one day and evening another. There is also an MK after hours the day before we leave which I may consider adding.

Plan B: The main draw here: there is a Hollywood studios after hours on Sat. Feb 21. That is the key draw for my son. We've done it before and it was lots of fun and he would really like to do that again.
This is more expensive with flights.
And the biggest issue is crowds. Plan A should have pretty low crowds. Plan B, from what I am reading, is going to be super busy. End of President's Day week, last weekend of FARTS, and the week of Mardi Gras. DTB says this can be 10/10 crowds.

What do we do???
