OK, we have finally decided on a trip and are planning a Land and Sea for this fall. It will be 4 nights land/3 sea. It works out to be the best trip for what we as a family want to do. That said, trying to decide which week to do it. We can get the same price for each of these weeks. Nov. 9-16, 16-23, 30-Dec. 7 or Dec. 7-14.

So, my question is which date would YOU choose and why? :confused3

Thanks so much...really looking forward to booking this.

Tough Question :scratchin

I would go with the first week of November..My reason you ask? It comes first :rotfl: ..I would hesitate on December, as for me it is too close to Xmas, and that would be too much rush for me upon return..

You really can not go wrong IMHO..

If you're interested in seeing the ship decorated for Christmas you might want to go after Thanksgiving.

I know it sounds like a silly question, but since I'm from Canada, Thanksgiving would be in October......lol:rotfl:

I would go as early as possible too.

Our first DCL cruise was in Dec. too. And we thought that Castaway was a bit chilly. I could of used a little extra warmth.

The ship is absolutely fabulous in Dec, so is WDW so that is a huge factor to think about. However, I have to admit, I did feel a little frazzled getting back home and preparing for x-mas.

Good luck deciding, let us know what you decide!

If it were me, I would book the cruise and WDW separately. I'm going on my first Disney cruise on Jan. 20th, and it's a 4-day. I think a 3-day is too short. I'll spend 4 days at WDW afterwards to recover!

But to answer your question - I would choose Nov. 30-Dec. 7. My favorite time to visit WDW is the week after Thanksgiving.

P.S. I'll be on a Canada cruise on YOUR Thanksgiving in October! :)

DH and I did a land/sea trip last december from 12/9 to 12/16. We booked separately, staying at a moderate resort at WDW and a cat-7 (obstructed view verandah) cabin on the ship.

We were at WDW from 12/9 - 12/13. The weather was between 70 and 80 degrees the whole time we were there. People said thats a bit warmer than usual but it was perfect. The parks were not crowded at all. Barely any lines and the only time we had to deal with huge mass of people was after Wishes one of the nights.

The weather was also good on the cruise. A bit windy on Castaway Cay but we were still able to swim and sunbathe. Serenity Bay wasnt crowded at all so we had no problems getting beach chairs or a table for lunch.

The entire trip was pretty perfect, weather and crowd-wise plus it was close enough to Christmas to really get caught up in the holiday spirit but we still had a whole week for last minute shopping and stuff when we got back from the trip. If I had the opportunity to redo that trip I would definitely do that week (or around then) again.

ETA: As the previous poster said, 3 nights is too short! If I could change one thing its that I'd do 4 nights in the parks and then the 4 night cruise.
