Which week is better?

My mom and I are planning to visit WDW, last time we were at WDW was in 2012 late May.

We were either planning on visiting:

May 17th - May 24th

or

May 24th - May 31st.

Which one do you think will have less crowds? I know that we will be arriving at the end of the Rose and Flower festival at Epcot. I am assuming that the weather will be the same regardless of what week we go. Also, just so I can prepare for this will we run into any tour groups? [we ran into them last time we were there, but only at Epcot because they were being rude to people, I saw them around the other parks as well, but they didn't draw attention to themselves.]

I know either way we are going to run into Memorial Day crowds.

I would think the earlier week would be less crowded because the closer you get to summer, the more likely that kids are getting out of school. I know my kids last day is the Friday before Memorial Day.

I have looked at those websites and while they are interesting I don't really trust them as much, I know that there are those kinds of sites for DL as well and they almost are never accurate.

I was hoping to see if anyone has been to WDW during either of those dates before, [middle of May to late May] and could give me some experience.

We have been that time of year the past 3 years...in and around Memorial Day weekend. My advice, the earlier dates will be better. The pre-Memorial Day crowds can be a bit lighter than the post ones.

I have no idea. They have never been a problem for us. Not sure if they are not there or if we just haven't run into them.

FWIW...I've heard that the crowd calendars for DL aren't very accurate. I think the WDW calendar's are considerable more so. I wouldn't discount them out of hand.

No but ran into Florida kids field trips at Epcot last year. We go around this time often. Around memorial busy. But by Tuesday no different than the other week IMO.
