Which week is better for a holiday visit?

Hey all! I think I'd like to try and visit DLR over the holidays this year. I know it might be hard to answer since we don't have the holiday info yet, but does anyone have any thoughts on which week would be better? Either Nov 14-18 ( the week before Thanksgiving) or December 5-9. I guess my priority would be lower crowds (I have a 3 year old and a 4 year old) but since we are specifically going for the holidays I don't want to miss out on parades etc if they are only on certain days. Will the ride overlays be complete by that Nov date? Like I said I know a lot is speculation until we get some sort of announcement but I was looking for any guesses or historical information. Thank you!!!

If it were me I would prefer December 5-9. I would think there would be a chance for lesser crowds since it is between the school holidays.

For the last few years, the official start to the Holiday season has coincided with the Avengers/Super Hero Half Marathon weekend, which will be on November 10-13 in 2016. The overlays (baring technical difficulties) should be in place by then, as should most of the seasonal entertainment (although, everything is subject to change). Personally, I think either week would be fine. I've gone the week after the marathon in the past and the crowds were manageable. There was some residual marathon crowds on Monday, but Tuesday through Thursday were pretty quiet. The crowds did pick-up on Friday, leading into the weekend. Early December is also a good option because the holidays are in full swing, but the peak holiday crowds haven't yet arrived.

I had a choice of either week this year and went with December. Crowds will be lower, but it won't be empty. Christmas has gotten too popular.

I do remember going to DL on a weekday in the first full week of December and finding it stunningly uncrowded. Not a single ride had a line longer than five minutes, and most rides were walk-ons. The stores were empty so it was easy to enjoy all of the decorating details. Unfortunately that was December 1991. Things have changed in the past 25 years.

I think you'd be fine going either weekend. I've been twice during that November weekend you mentioned or the weekdays around it and had a great time with nice crowds. While talking to a couple CM's, they've always said that December weekend is even better. If I was choosing now, I'd go with the December weekend.
