Which week in July would you recommend?

We will be driving down to WDW in July from Missouri. There will be three of us (2 adults, 1 child). We are both teachers, so we are off for the month of July, so weekdays and such don't matter. We are just curious if any week during the month would be better as far as crowds and things like that?

Any suggestions??

Just a rough guess I would imagine the week containing 4th July will be extremely busy. Plus over here our school holidays start roughly on 23rd July so a lot of Brits with kids will be heading over there after this. Touringplans.com gives an approximate crowd level number for each day if you have a look over there, may help you plan. :)

I will look into that website. Part of me really wants to see the fireworks at WDW, but then again, we have nice fireworks here in St. Louis! I would rather trade the fireworks for slightly lighter crowds.

The weather will be the same all month, so I'm not worried about that. Also, I heard last night that there might be a space shuttle launch in mid to late July. I would love to see another launch. There is nothing like that!

There is nothing on this Earth better than seeing fireworks lit up the castle at the Magic Kingdom - magical.

I would love to see a space shuttle launch too.

We have visited the last two weeks of the month and haven't found the crowds to be overwhelming. You will run into fellow teachers during that time as well. I don't know if we can spot each other but I always end up talking with lots of teachers during our trips.

When I graduated from highschool my sister and I went on a celebratory WDW trip.

Being clueless Canadians (and not familiar with the Dis at the time!), we ended up there for the week over the 4th of July. I have only known Disney during crowded times ( maybe a few moderately crowded ), and for us we LOVED all the hooplah and festivities, kind of the mentality- the more people, the better!

It really wasn't too bad, and ranks as probably my favourite WDW trip to date. I never had trouble getting last minute PSs, and the only long wait I can recall is for Splash Mountain at about 2pm-- 2 hours, blyuck!

The first week -- the 4th of July is Disney is awesome!

See you there.
