which week in feb?

I promised my two teen sons that I would take them to disney for a long weekend in february. I took their younger brother by himself for Spring Break this year but they were with their dad (1st marriage....but that is another story). Anyway, I promised them that I would take them on a trip when my new use year kicks in.

I figure they don't need to miss more than 2 1/2 days of school since they are in high school now. I have 2 choices. We could go the first week of feb. I would check them out early on wed. and we would drive down and have thur, fri, sat in the parks and come home on Sunday..........or...........we could go the next week, check them out wed. and do the same but have Monday for presidents day so we could stay an extra night.

I've never been during presidents weekend but I've heard the crowds are awful. Would it be better to go the first week when it's less crowded or have the extra day and suffer the crowds.

I would go the week before presidents day. We went two years ago and we arived 10 days before presidents day, and left on saturday of presidents weekend. The crowds started picking up around wednesday, and by friday they where terrible. I could only guess it got worse over the weekend. The weekend before was great. We could get on pretty much most rides with very little waiting, so you can see and do alot more even when it will be one less day. It is also so much more enjoyable when the crowds are down.
