Which week in early December 2025?

Hi! Family of 7 (2 adults, 5 kids) here looking at going in December for the first time. Our last two (and only trips) have been at the end of January the previous two years. We wanted to try something different this time and also see the holiday decor without crazy crowds. Our plan is to be there Sat-Sat.

Is there much of a crowd difference between the first two weeks of December? Specifically for 2025, I'm looking at the week of November 30 vs December 7. Which one would you recommend? The first week is about $500 more for the 7-night room cost (haven't factored in tickets, yet).

About the only difference is that the November 30 week would still have some of the Thanksgiving crowds. That will taper off as the week progresses.

I would compare the room and ticket costs, especially ticket costs (because most park guests come from offsite each day, not from the onsite resorts). The less expensive they are, the lighter the crowds Disney expects for those dates.

I would recommend the week of Dec 7th. We vacationed Dec 6th - Dec 15th in 2021. The weather was perfect each day and the crowds were not bad compared to other trips to WDW that we have had. It was our first time seeing the Christmas decorations and it was wonderful.
