I’m trying to plan out clothes and the day we’ll go in the pool. My original plan was to spend Saturday 16 at the pool. My iPhone weather app is showing that day as a high of 73 which is a bit chilly for this Florida family so we’d adjust to one of our earlier days instead when it’s hotter. But the weather channel app says that day is a high of 80, a huge difference and totally fine for a pool day. Which app have you found is more accurate?

At least by us in New York, the Apple app is horrendous. I joke with my wife that ‘Apple weather says…’ when, for example, it’s pouring out but Apple weather shows a completely sunny sky.

I have always had great luck going to local TV stations websites. Never been off by much. Here's my go to

https://www.wesh.com/weather#extended-forecast

I don't find any weather apps off by that much with the temperature it's usually within 1-2. For forecast information I use weatherbug, weather live or accuweather. I use the free versions.
I found them all pretty good around Orlando predicting when rain is going to happen, is it 100% accurate no but neither are weather people. I'm pretty sure weather live is the app that sends you notifications when rain is approaching and when it's going to end.

My go to weather app is weather bug, there are several weather stations you can add in the orlando area, for example I have bay lake and epcot added. I was told by a CM they use weather bug. I also have accuweather and will check both...usually they are different. I second dansdad though that wesh is better. I have that as well. It gets annoying though when you check three apps and they are all different.

reddog21: Accuweather and weather bug both send a notification when rain is approaching. I also use the free version of both.
We've found AccuWeather to be closest. If it's not showing us a good forecast, however, we'll keep checking all the other apps until we find a forecast we like and hope that one is right!!!
I do the same!

The authoritative answer to the question of which weather app is most accurate is ...
None of them.

They are no more accurate for WDW than whatever app you use for your home forecast. Use whichever one you like best but understand that it just going to give you a range of possibilities and that your actual experience will be different.

None.

Seriously. On my last trip, all of them forecasted no rain on our HHN night. We got soaked. Then they forecasted rain on our MNSSHP night. We had nothing and I carried around an umbrella for no reason.

And this was even the DAY OF.

I disagree, there are some that are way more accurate and update more regulary than others.

Rain isn't forecasted for an exact location its a general area. One area could get rain and an area 2 miles away could get nothing that doesn't mean it didn't rain.

You aren't going to find anyone that is always more accurate. Each probably uses a lot of the same data and it relates more to how they display the information or how often they update. Find an app that is easy to use, doesn't bombard you with useless ads and shows the information you are most interested in seeing.

I use Fox 13 Skytower out of Tampa. I think their radar is the best. Next is AccuWeather. Radar is most important to me since we keep an eye on thunderstorms during summer as well as hurricanes. As far as day to day temps and rain none of them are that great more than three days out. We live off of 4 between Orlando and Tampa and storms come from all directions. By the time they arrive in the middle of the state they can just dissipate within hours.
Dry season starts in December and goes to around the end of May. Drought season is roughly January to May or June
Winter is in the middle of January for two weeks more or less and spring is in February.
Why all the extra info when you asked about weather apps? Because nobody really knows. Up north weather patterns usually run west to east across the country and are easier to predict long term. Here weather influences come from all directions.

I'll rephrase the question to "which weather app is the most inaccurate"?

Although I use it daily on my phone, Fox 35 out of Orlando is easiest to navigate, but hardly accurate.

I like accuweather and always bring flip flops in rainy but warm weather. You never know when it will rain in South Florida!

We prefer AccuWeather for Orlando.
I'm sure that's the one Fox35 News & weather use too.

Not my picture but I saw this on Facebook where everyone was seeing crazy temperatures. Made me think about the accuracy of these apps lol

I like the weather channel appl, but weather underground is pretty good too.
