I have heard that some of the kids meals are presented in fun and unique containers.
One of the water parks serves them in a sand pail with a shovel.
I think this is so fun.
Anyone know which restaurants do this and what types of things the meals come in?

...that almost every place you go has the exact same kids meals... chicken fingers/fries, or pbj/fries, or cheeseburger/fries.

Most places will provide a souviner cup with a lid and plastic straw (we have about 30 of them from last year) as the "gift"
We did like the ones at typhoon lagoon in the sandpail!

IMHO disney has some work to do when it comes to kids meal presentation. JUst think of all the imaginative things they could offer for very little money! I wont buy one there this time. Id rather split an adult entree and get more food for the price of two kids meals than get another generation of plastic cups.

Prime Time and Sci Fi have cool glowing ice cubes that the kids really flip for, and at sci fi they got a plastic souvenier cup. I belive at Sci Fi they also have something cool to serve the food in but you pay extra for it and we didnt get it.
Kids werent served their food in anything cute at Chef Mickey's or Ohana's but the kids had a great time at both places.

Yeah, I know what to expect as far as menu options for kids.
You seem to just have 3 or 4 options to choose from.
Hopefully our DS will like at least one of those options for a couple of meals.

According to another post Backlot Express at MGM serves Kids meals in a Disney Lunchbox.
And from what I have heard one or both of the water parks do the meal in a sand pail.

I have heard about the glowing ice cubes, glad to know where they are from.

Thanks

You can also get the glowing cubes from 50's Prime Time Cafe. They cost about $5 but my kids had a blast with them.

I think 'Ohana has snow cones that can be ordred for dessert in a mini-sand pail with a shovel spoon. they looked cute when I saw the picture--I'm going to check it out in July.:Pinkbounc

There are some really awesome kids desserts on the sit down menus. The Chocolate Moose from Le Cellier is our favorite to date.

Included in the price, we've never gotten anything more special than the cup, the kids menu and crayons to color the menu with. And ususally not the cup. Which is fine with me, we aren't thrilled with hauling sticky cups around, and my kids have enough little plastic junk for their own landfill already.

Although we didn't eat there this past year, in a previous trip, All Star Sports Cafe served the kids meals with a souvenir frisbee. Does anyone know if they still do this?

I love the kids cone at Kona. Shutter's serves a darling kid's dessert (It's like a beach with water). I love the decorate your own flag dessert at LTT. The most pathetic kid's desserts, IMO, have been the chocolate or white chocolate puzzle desserts. For the same cost your child could have a great adult dessert.
