Which WDW attractions will you NOT do, and why?

All this debate over Mission: Space got me thinking...I definitely plan on riding and enjoying M:S on our upcoming trip, along with Wishes and Mickey's Philharmagic and all our old favorites, but there are a few attractions that I just won't/don't do:

Mad Tea Party - This just looks like a giant spin'n'barf machine to me. I can't take the sideways spinning; even watching it for more than a few seconds makes me a little queasy!

Dumbo - I have nothing against this one, but won't wait in line for an hour or more to ride it; I'll take Astro Orbiters or Aladdin instead.

It's a Small World - I do actually ride this one, about once a decade I can't take that song any more than that!

Tomorrowland Indy Speedway - This one just seems lame to me, and very un-Tomorrowland-ish. Maybe if they made the cars look like the Jetsons or something...

Other than those, I have done or plan on doing pretty much every other ride, attraction, show, etc. How about you? What's your list of "can miss" attractions, and why??

Hehehe Yes, Mad Tea Party can be a "spin and barf" attraction, but we still take it easy in it and enjoy it. Dumbo is a classic, if they ever close it I am sure there will be mega protests among guests who rode it as kids and now want to ride it with their kids, maybe even looking for the same elephant they rode!

I do skip Its a Small World now, but used to enjoy it. It is the attraction that grows on your skin type thing, kind of too sticky and redundant. But it is a good, no-brainer, long break for the feet, so leave it open...

And if they ever close the speedway, *my* sons have a fit! It still draws long lines, kids like it a lot.

I don't care much for the Tiki Room. Now there's a waste of space, in my opinion. I didn't care about Food Rocks in Epcot, and I am glad it is closing.

I always skip the Bug's Life movie at the Animal Kingdom. I just absolutely refuse to go to that one. I really hate bugs, and I hated every single second of that one. I just don't like the stuff they do to you in that one.

We wont be doing Bugs Life anymore since it totally freaked out my kids.

I havent done Kali yet because Im usually miserable when Im wet. I am trying to convince myself to do it, maybe on a hot day right before leaving the park, but I dont know if I will.

As for the Speedway, I would never wait in line for it by choice, but my kids love it so, I do it.

Also, I usually skip Country Bears but we will do it on our upcoming trip since Ive heard its different for Christmas.

We do not ever ride the Jungle Cruise because it reminds me of a cheesy Six Flags ride from when I was young. We also skip the Speedway. We rode it for my DD's first trip in '97, but it's just not worth the wait.

You've hit my list pretty well with tea cups, speedway, dumbo etc. But add the Swiss Family Treehouse. I'm not about to haul my butt up all those stairs, been there done that.

I think the only two I will NOT ever do are ToT and the Tea Cups. I hurt my neck badly on a spinning ride like the Tea Cups and with back trouble ToT is a bad idea for me.

My 'can miss' attractrions are

Alien Encounter: found it was boring & didn't live up to the hype. Glad it is close.

Atrso Obiter: Didn't like the design of the seats, to low to the ground & hard for an older person to get out of them! Plus I thought my son was going to fly out of them!

Backlot Tours: BORING!!!!!! Enough said

I agree with the Indy cars. But my son likes to go on them so we hop on them once. Maybe this time if we can 'skip' by them

Body Wars: I can take stimulator rides but this one was WAY to jerky. Didn't like that feeling.

When I took my Backstage tour, my guide and I were talkig abiut rides as I get motion sick easily (about 10 seconds on the teacups and I'm done). She told me to avoid the Primevil Hurl as it is known to CM's. (in AK). I think their nickname should say it all.

I never have done Alien Encounter because I'm a big chicken.

I never have done Playhouse Disney because my "cool" kids don't want to see that attraction. However, next time I'm going to do it myself!

BTW I would never go to Disney and miss IASM or Dumbo. I absolutely love these rides and I make everyone ride these!

I also can't take the spinning of the tea cups.
Body wars, It's a small world because of that song, and Dumbo because of the wait.
My must do is ITTBAB, I love this show.

My vote goes to the Tea Cups... I think this is the only ride I have not done (no counting the recently opened attractions, which I will go on).

2nd choice would be Primeval Whirl although I know I will have to go on this when DS is older and meets the height requirements.

3rd vote goes to Kali... don;t like being wet in street clothes and am not about to change just to go on a ride.

Skipping the Tea Cups - I don't do Twirl & Hurl rides either....

Most of the mentioned ones (Although I do like Food Rocks & Tiki Room, even tho the original Tiki was better - in that nostalgic, cheesey kind of fun way)

No one mentioned my #1 Can Miss attraction tho - Journey Into Your Imagination..... Ack! It's a definate skipper for us.....

I only do Star Tours once per trip because my DH is a Star Wars Freak! The other times he goes it alone while I take the chicken exit! I can't take simulator rides at all...Body Wars is completely out for me!

I don't do TofT. I would if I was dropped only once but by the 3rd time I want to kill the person at the controls. I felt ill for hours.

Space Mountain---Too Jerky and hurt my neck....Same goes for Primevil Whirl...Very Jerkey.


I will try M:S but at the end of the day so that if it makes me sick I can leave the park.

Space & Splash Mountain, Speedway, Astro (afraid of heights) & Snow White (way outdated) @ the Magic Kingdom. ToT & RnRC @ MGM. Probably Mission Space, as well as things like Food Rocks, Figment and most of what is inside the Life pavilion (except Body Wars & Cranium Command) @ EPCOT.

I had roller coasters and anything with big drops in them. Had a really bad experience on Splash a few years ago and that pretty much took care of those attractions.

My only "don't" attraction was Alien Encounter, and now that it's gone, there's nothing that I'll miss.

For my children, though, it's another story. My 7 y.o. won't do It's Tough to be a Bug or Test Track. My 6 y.o. is fearless.

I won't do TOT anymore, have done it twice and thats enough for anyone (IMHO). I just can't stand to feel like I'm falling-I have the same problem on planes when we hit turbulance. Oh well as my kids say "Mom is a big chicken"

We always skip Snow White Scary's Adventure. It's still too intense for my kids and once it isn't, they wont' want to do it.

I always skip the Oh Canada movie, as well. Did it once and it was lame.

Those are the only two that I can think of that we deliberately pass on.

Mad hatter- we have the tilt a whirl at the exhibition, and everytime i go on, i get sick as a dog....they should change that into a rock and roll lol.
Indy- it was ok as a kid, but now that I can drive, there is no point, I may as well just drive down university ave here lol
Honey I shrunk the Audience- Terrified of snakes, no thank you!
Oh Canada- Oh come on, there is more to Canada than the praries and Ontario, it really urks me that there is like no PEI- I cant remember if there is an Anne moment or not-

I guess I just need to change the "will NOT do" to "will not do" (small "not"). I have done every single attraction on the property that was there up to the last time I visited. (spring 2002). Many I won't do again because they were one timers or ones I did when my kids were little.

The ones that I will not do now are:

Tea Cups (leaves me feeling "weird" all day)

Dumbo

Indy Cars

Astro (whatevers)

Buzz

Snow White

Indiana Jones Stunt Show

Backlot Tour (occasionally)

Animation Tour

Kali Rapids (once was enough)

IASW

Jungle Cruise
