Which way to do Crystal Palace?

I've read a couple of post that say make a PS at Crystal Palace first thing in the morning so you are already in the park. I think the first reservation is 8:10. Park opens at 9:00. Are you able to get in and out to be ready to roll by 9:00? Is doing this worth it?

Or just have breakfast at hotel and do Crystal Palace for lunch?

Thanks

one benefit is having the park to yourself for photos in front of the Castle with NO ONE around. It's pretty neat.

Also, some say they are in and out before 9:00 rope drop but I don't think I could do it.

We have an 8:05 ps so that we can get in and be ready to go around park opening. We have done this in the past and it works well for us. As mentioned above, the unobstructed picture opportunities are worth the early seating! :flower:

I'm from Indiana, too! It will be our first time. We're early birds, so getting there early wouldn't be a bother. I just don't want to be rushed and didn't know if we could get in and out under an hour. Do you have an advantage by being in the park at 9:00 when it opens for some reason? Are you that much closer to the areas then at the gates?

Thanks

I am telling you-- there is nothing better than getting to the Magic Kingdom and seeing it practically empty-- and yes- you are done with breakfast in plenty of time to hit the rides at 9 sharp- you literally will be able to walk on most rides near the CP-- if i were you-- i would go to the ones that dont have Fast Pass FIRST-- like Dumbo--- and then do the others that are near by-- if you see some getting lines already-- get fast passes for those for a little later

have a blast-- i think the Crystal Palace breakfast and getting in and parking CLOSE BY-- is one of the best kept secrets! :flower:

I agree with FloridaGirl! We were a group of 5 with an 8:05 ps and were done in plenty of time and my son was even picked as Chef of the Day with all of the festivities that goes with that! It was wonderful and made what had always been the most dreaded area of the park (Fantasyland) a breeze! We were then ready at 10:00 to be there when Mickey's Toontown opens!

Okay, you guys talked me into it! I called and made PS for 8:05 a.m. the first day we visit MK. I can't wait! Thanks so much for this "secret". I think it will start our visit off in a fantastic and happy way.

Make sure it's not an early entry day to MK. It doesn't work if it's an early entry day, only if the park is opening at regular time.

Another tip - since it's your first day, make sure you get there early enough that you can savor that first walk into the MK and those first views of the castle. We were too worried about hurrying up to get to CP that we didn't take the time to enjoy the wonder of where we finally were.

How early am I allowed to get in the park to go to CP for breakfast. My reservations are at 8:05.

The official time is 8:00 am, sometimes they let you in a little early. When we were there people were complaining and saying that they were not going to have enough time to get down Main Street. There was plenty of time. Believe it or not, 5 minutes is long time when there's absolutely no one in the park. We even had to wait a minute or two in front of the restaurant.

I would definately recommend first seating of the day. There is nothing like walking through MK with barely anyone there. ::MickeyMo

ITA!
And like someone else has already said, it is a great opportunity to get your picture taken on Main Street with nobody else around.
