I am booking my trip for October 2005. We are staying for 7 nights at POFQ. I have stayed on site numerous times, but I usually just buy the room/ticket package through Disney. I always go with my cousin so I just have to pay for myself. This is my first trip as a family (me, husband, daughter) and I'd like to save as much money as I can.

Here's my question:

Should I book room only and buy tickets separately and hope for a room only code or should I just buy the package? As it stands now, cost wise it is not much of a difference, but I know if codes come out they are for room only. Also, should I not buy my tickets through Disney? I feel a bit uneasy buying tickets through other places.

Edited to add that I will be buying 7 day tickets with the hopper option. I know I could have non-park days to save money, but we go to the parks every day.

What does everyone else do?

TIA for all your help.

I would book room-only and buy my tickets through Ticketmania. I know you said you prefer to buy tickets directly through Disney, but I've used Ticketmania and had great success with them. Their prices are great and so is their service.
