Which water park?

ETA: Just checked and looks as though they are both open until 26th October, after which TL is closed. I'm glad I checked as this means we will have to go before TL closes as my hubby would never forgive me if he missed out.

Yeah, I expected just one to be open while we are there, so the decision would've been taken out of my hands. We leave on the 29th, so we've got the choice of either.

We went to TL and BB.

My kids (4 & 2) much preferred TL. They loved the lazy river and the family fall. I liked the bit where you swim with sharks.

BB was ok but I found it more adult orientated (big slides).

Oh, I thought it was the other way around? We mainly want to just do the family stuff, not the big slides. I think I might try to fit a couple of hours in at each. We're not going for the pools because I'm assuming we could get a pool fix at the beach club.

We are planning to hit both during our trip. We are doing TL on our first full day at WDW as we land on the Columbus Day Weekend so avoiding the "big" parks.

Then we are doing BB 6 days after that. Although some of the slides look insane!!

Whats the best situation/ thing to do for towels and lockers?

That Summit Plummet gives me palpitations just looking at it. If my son wanted to go on that one I'd probably make some excuse why he couldn't. I don't think my heart could handle watching him.

I would go for TL my 10-7-3 SD's loved it! They have a few big thrill rides but it's mostly stuff kids and families will love.

We found BB to be more family friendly. I preferred the little kids area at BB to TL as it was easier to keep an eye on DD without having to follow her every move.

Also the mat slides are great for families at BB plus there is area with smaller tube slides for little ones.

Finally, the family raft ride at BB is in a different league to the TL one. It is much much longer. The wait for the one at TL was not worth it at all!

That's the thing that tempted me to look at the water parks to start with. My son has always said he's not bothered about the water parks, I think mainly because he likes to do stuff altogether rather than us splitting up, so I've not done too much research on them. Mainly it really would be for my daughter - if she's happy everybody is happy. The only thing that I can see that tempts me to TL is the bit where you swim with sharks, so I might try to do both. It's so hard fitting everything in though!

the tube slides at the back of BB - runoff rapids - are not steep....they're just fun windy slides...two are open, one is closed...
even i can still do them (after having my elbow replaced with an artificial elbow - a titanium elbow implant)....

and the mat slides (toboggan racers and storm racers) are not steep either.......families like to race on the tobaggan racers with each other - they each go into their own lane and race each other)

the only super steep slides are summet plummet, slush gusher and probably also downhill double dipper....the rest aren't steep...

and as someone else said, teamboat springs - the family raft at BB - is awesome fun!! (and not steep) much more fun then the little dinky family raft slide at TL....
