We have never been to any of the waterparks. Now that we purchased our 10 day hopper with pluses we decided to try one out on our next trip. DD6 is a pretty strong swimmer and loves waterslides (although will most likely not do any that are real scary) and DD4 is just learning. We will be going in October and would like to know the best waterpark to go to. I do not know the difference between Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach so I am hoping everyone can help me make a decision. I don't know if it matters but we will be staying at the GF and using Disney transportation.

I personally like blizzard beach i think the design around a ski lodge is ingenius. Several years ago we went toBB first then Typhoon Lagoon.... stayed there about 2 hours and headed back to BB. on the other hand my niece loves TL. they love the wave pools.. my opinion is we live in jersey and see waves why go for the wave pool.

BB has better slides i think...TL better wave pool and they have a small swim with the sharks pool they have a new slide i hear.....BB has a kiddie section and a family tube ride

This was the question I was going to ask too. It's our 5th trip to DW but
it will be our first durning the summer months - going in September.
We are staying at Wilderness Lodge, is one park a lot closer? I would love
hear peoples takes on which is the best for fun, but not scarry. DD is 8
and big slides scare her. BB sounds good with the family tube ride but
DD does like the wave pools

Thanks

I've been to both and while I love both of them I like Typhoon Lagoon a little more. I enjoy swimming with the sharks and the wave pool. We're going back in October and I can't wait to try the new water coaster, Crush N Gusher! I think Blizzard Beach has a better area for younger children. You can't go wrong with either park. It just depends on what you want to do.

there is meltaway bay.... has some waves but not as strong as TL i guess it's a toss up for you guys

Five of us went a few weeks ago. We all liked them both, but we all preferred BB over TL. If you do decide to go to TL be careful with the little one's in the wave pool. It looks deceiving. The waves are REALLY strong even in the shallow end. I had to brace myself each time one came, so they wouldn't knock me down. LOL You do know when they're coming though, there's a loud Boom sort of like thunder before each wave hits.

Crush N Gusher was great! My DS 13 and I rode it when we went in June. It was so much fun! You'll love it, have a great time!
