Which "wait time" app is best?

I like Touring Plans the best. However, it is only as good as the users. It has an option for people to actually time their wait in line and post real numbers. But, it all depends on how recent those numbers are and how many people are reporting on any given day.
On days when few are posting, I still use the Wait Times for WDW app, but that only shows posted times.

True, but TP still shows posted times as well as user reported. So it's like getting base plus potentially a lot of people getting you actual, or maybe just a few so you are never worse off than MDE.

Is the WDW App the MDE app? Or are there 2 different apps. I think I have MDE and I don't see where to view wait times?

Ok, sorry to be such a pest but how to I get to see the wait times on the MDE? I don't see an option for it? If I have app, will it show me current wait times even for today or just when I am in the park itself?

You can see wait times even if you aren't in the park. I look a lot before my trip just to see how waits are looking. My app shows MK as the "home" screen showing wait times there. You can click filter in the top left of the screen and change which park you want to look at. I also normally click "show list" in the top right corner because I like list view more than the map.

I agree on Touring Plans ... especially if you are there during a busy busy time of year when there are a lot of people putting actual wait times in. It has been pretty spot on during Christmas, but there are almost always continuous updates by people there inputting actual wait times.

I use both Touring Plans (WDW Lines) app and the official Disney World MDE app. The Touring Plans app seems to be more accurate.

I always post my actual waits on TP line app. Makes me feel like I'm giving back.

I’m under the impression that Lines uses historical data and predictive modeling to determine an estimated wait; not just the people in line at the moment. I’ve found it to be very useful.
