Which villa would you choose?

We rented DVC points and stayed in a 1br at the AKV Jambo last Sept and loved it! Started bugging DH about buying into DVC after our trip in fact ;) Well, I got an email with a 40% pin and bought DH another year since the PIN would make it cheaper than renting.

I initially booked Poly Club level b/c I didn't realize the PIN would apply to the villas as well as the deluxe resorts.

After realizing I CAN use the PIN at a villa, it seems a no brainer to go back and stay in a 1br...we loved having all the space! As excited as I am about the Poly, the 2 queens and no jacuzzi tub just doesn't seem comparable. (thoughts from those that have done both?)

So called this morning tried for a 1br at BLT but no luck. Only a studio or 2br available.

He loved the AKV and said let's go back there, but I would be a little disappointed to lose the great location of the Poly.

So what you would do? I'm thinking of calling and trying for the Beach Club? We ate at Cape May last trip and thought the walk to Epcot was awesome! There was a 1br available at the WLV also (she told me when I mentioned wanting to be close to the MK). Don't know much about that resort.

So question is....where would you consider that would be comparable in location to the Poly LVCL? Should I stick with that? DH really wants the kitchen and seperate br again over the awesome view. We will have a 5yo and an almost 2yo with us. THANKS!

did you try for BLT? You can walk to the MK from there. If the MK is where you'll spend most of your time, VWL is for you. Easy boat ride over there. They do have 2 pools, and a beach for the kids to play in the sand. You can also rent bikes from there and ride over to Fort Wilderness, which is a nice ride. The BCV or the BWV are a great location for Epcot, and they have the Boardwalk to walk around at night. But I understand the busses to MK can be kind of hit or miss. Perhaps someone else can fill you in on that. Let us know what you end up with, and just enjoy the "newness" of your choice.:)
PS - the Poly is an awesome resort, but your DH is right; the space the villas offer is nothing compared to ANY resort room. Especially with children!

What about Boarwalk or Beach Club... location can't be beat! Walk/Ferry to Epcot and Studios

Unfortunately BLT is out, no 1brs available at all the entire month of Sept! The CM told me there is a 1br at VWL, so that would be an option. I will have to do a bit of hunting for pics and info there.

We'll probably spend the most time at Epcot or MK, DD loved Epcot as much as the MK in Sept. (couldn't keep her off the Maelstrom ride!) So BC would be a good idea as well.

We will have a car so buses aren't necessarily a concern.

How is the pool at VWL? Can you see Wishes from VWL? That may cause me to lean that way. Heard awesome things about SAB at BC, but would it be too overwhelming for my DS? (will be 23 months at the time)

Thanks so much for all the feedback!

SAB at Beach club is perfect for a 23 month old... they have a great sand pool for the little ones!! We have been staying there a few times a year for the last few years my daughter is now 4 and she loves it!!

I second that! When we went my DS was around 20 mos old. and I just plopped him down in the sand and he could walk around and play around in the sand. It was perfect! If he did get up and walk around, the water was shallow enough that he could maneuver it pretty easily without toppling over!

Got the BCV reservation! There was a 1br available that week so I figured that would be the way to go :goodvibes

It will end up being about $600 less to be in a 1br villa at the BC than staying Poly Club level. That's a huge difference just for the view, and with a kitchen the snacks at the club lounge won't be missed.

I would love to see Wishes on the beach, but maybe we can go to the dinner show at the poly one night and catch it. Walking to Epcot and having all the extra space, kitchen and w/d will be SO worth it. Not to mention SAB cause I know it's HOT in Sept!! I can't justify the extra $$ just for a view, plus this may help my case to buy into DVC in the future :)

Thanks for the help! Now I am anxiously awaiting our first trip to the BCV!:banana::banana:

Congrats!!! You will love Beach Club!!

I hope you enjoy BCV! We took our 20 month old "Home" to a 1br this month. The movies on the beach are fun.
