Which Verandah is better??

What is better to get a Navigators verandah or a regular verandah? My wife and I are going in Sept, and want to know what is better to get?? My wife thinks the Navigators verandah isn't open air like a regular one, can someone please help us out?? Thanks

I love the navigators! The window portion that you see is open to the outside, but you get a big break from the wind with the metal walls. My DH is a much earlier riser than myself. I found him out there most mornings with his coffee and book. I also liked being able to sneak out there in my PJs while in port and know I was not flashing the whole island.

I know others like the regular verandahs, but it's the Navigators for us!

Both are nice, but I prefer the regular because I can sit on the couch and still see out for the view, which is the whole idea of a verandah. With the navigator I had to go outside the see the view, and only 2 at a time can see out the round hole. With the regular even the grandkids can stand or sit in the chairs and see outside. With the navigator they had to be held up or stand on a chair. I dont want the little ones to get the idea to move a chair over to climb on to look out, I'm afraid they will do this and fall overboard when no one is looking. Of course the door is kept locked and someone is with them at every minute, but kids move so fast sometimes. Just my opinion, but we loved the regular verandah best.

We have cruised in both - Navigator and non.

While I absolutely love the Navigator's verandah - if I had the money I would book a regular verandah. Normally we would book a Navigator's to save $$. When we were in the regular verandah we would sit out on the verandah more and relax. With the navigator's there was much more privacy and you had to go out to see the view. They just provide different experiences. Both are great though!

I prefer open! DH and I keep the patio door open the entire time we are in the room! Nothing like waking up to fresh sea air and the sunshine!

Which Verandah is better??

Any verandah that you don't have to pay for!! Maybe some day we will get upgraded - but not this day!!!

Better is in the eye of the beholder. As evidenced by this thread, it is really a matter of personal preference.
