Which Vera Bag?

Want to buy a new Vera Bradley bag. Trying to decide which one. I need it to carry my wallet, some misc. stuff, and my coupon organizer. Would like for it to be comfortable on my shoulder without it being too tight, or falling off. Also would prefer a zip top. So, I know there are big Vera fans out there...I have never bought one. Only knock offs, but with the prices now, plus an additional 20% off, think I'll go for the real thing. Plus, my son's teacher is a Vera fan, and I was going to order her a small toiletries bag for Christmas, so as long as I am ordering....

It doesn't have a zipper top...but I just love the bucket tote!! Not too big, not too small. I think it's the perfect bag. It also fits comfortably on my shoulder. I would buy this bag again in another color!!

I love the Betsy. It is a basic looking style. It has a zipper top which I love, big enough without being huge. There are 6 inside pockets and one on the outside. The pockets keep me so organized. One for wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, small cosmetic bag (lipstick, lip balm & band-aids), my keys, and a sm purell. I have enough room in the middle for 2 diapers (one for each child), my coupon organizer and a thin pack of wipes. I love it bacause if I am going somewhere that I have a diaper bag as well it is not to chunky.

I just ordered myself a second one in the Puccini print which is retired and cheaper. If you are not fussy, then shop the retired prints...you can find great bargains.

I would also say the Betsey. It is perfect for what you are looking for! Although I will tell you they are addicting and you will want more! LOL For a bigger bag I love the Villager, for a smaller bag I love the On the Go bag. The Hipster is great for the parks. The Bucket Tote is great too but I don't like that it doesn't have a zipper. Have fun shopping!

The lisa B sounds like it would be a perfect fit for you. It is stylish and sits nicely on your shoulder. The bucket tote is nice too, but has no zipper. The Betsy is nice if you have lots of stuff to carry around but I find that the shape of it doesn't sit nice on my shoulder and slips all the time. Same with the little Betsy. The Morgan is nice but my items tend to get lost in the puffy bottom. I have two flagship stores within ten minutes of my house and I spend way too much time studying these bags...

I am a Betsy fan myself, every bag I buy is in that style. Although the last one I bought was the hipster which I love as well. The Betsy is perfect is size and style if you like double handled bags. Zip top with 6 pockets in side and one outside. Not too big nor too small. What is the 20% off?

One of my friends had the Saddle bag the other day. I loved it!! Maybe it's called Saddle Up. That's my next one. Btw, they are discontinueing the Supertote-I just got 2 of them in a local store for half price! I got Purple Punch(for me) and Caffe Latte for my SIL. It's a HUGE tote!

Bought my daughter the Vera Mailbag in Purple Punch and it is beautiful! The strap is adjustable so you can turn it into a cross body style bag. It also has credit card slots inside the front zippered pocket under the flap. And yes, the top is zippered. Think I paid about $45 for a brand new one on ebay.

If you live close to a Vera Bradley Store, you can go in and sign up to be on their mailing list. Each year on your birthday they will send you a $20.00 gift card to be used in that store. (mine is in B'ham, Al at the Summit) They also mail out other offers here and there.

I love the on the go but it does slide off of my shoulder some, but I still like it.

Just received the Libby that I got for DD11 Christmas gift. Nice small to midsized east/west zip top bag. 2 outside magnetic shut pockets large enough for a cell phone. No interior areas to organize in (DD hates those), there are 3 flat slot style pockets that would prolly hold a pack of orbit gum or something similar sized. Adjustable strap for shoulder carry or cross body. DD got med blue. Personally I think the patterns on these bags are hideous but DD likes it and that's who it is for and this is the color she picked. If the bags came in solid I might get one as they seem to be really well constructed bags and are washable.

Oh but they do come in solid colors! They have the microfiber bags, check them out. I have a couple of them and they are great. But, I prefer the ones with the prints! They are washable!!!

I am also new to Vera Bradley and recently ended up getting both the Betsey and the Bucket Tote bag. I went into the store and played with them - then I ordered online. I love them both! I also got the taxi wallet, small change purse and checkbook cover. Of the two bags the Betsey bag is larger with 6 pockets, but no inside zip section, I just switched last night. I like the little extra room but find I liked the longer straps on the tote better - seemed to sit better on my shoulder without slipping off. I got them all in Pucchini which I love more and more!

I will say I do not like having my checkbook seperate from my wallet and thinking of switching to the zip around wallet or the clasp top wallet hoping my checkbook could fit inside.

Have fun - it is hard to make a decision but I LOVE how lightweight the bags are in comparison to my usual leather bags!

another vote for the bucket tote !! it's terrific. I think I've got 4 or 5. It's got an outside zipper pocket, an inside zipper pocket and 3 pockets. I like it because I can keep everything organized and I don't have trouble fumbling around trying to find something. and the big thing I like about it, is how it "fits" on your shoulder. it distributes the weight really good so you don't ever feel weighed down and it's never in the way. I love it !! You really can't go wrong with any of them. They're so terrific !!

I love the handbag, not too small not too large holds a ton of stuff. Shoulder straps and it zips deep from both sides. One outside pocket and 6 inside pockets and a zip pocket. The best feature is the key fob. It looks like a mini duffle bag.
