I have a thread going about a monorail resort, but I got thinking, if I was to stay super cheap at a value, it will be sooooo much cheaper, that maybe I could justify 2 trips.:goodvibes

So can you give me opinions and why you chose a specific resort? Thanks so much!

I moved you post here to Resorts Board,I think the experts here can give the best information on your question.:goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

I have stayed at POP with my DD on a "Mommy and Me" trip before. That's why I voted for it :)

My son loooved All Star Movies when he was 3! I could barely get him out of there, once he saw all the characters from Toy Story.

Pop is a bit smaller, so it seems a little easier to get around. It's closer to Epcot and MGM, where as AS is at the southern end of the property near AK.

I would think POP would be great, but also ASM. These have oversized items that kids can relate to. POP has a Big Wheel, a Foosball area, Rubik's cube, cell phone, a computer pool, daisy-shaped pool, and lots of other things to check out. For a child, I would recommend the value resorts because they are over-stated Disney even down to the bedspreads and decorations. It's like these resorts were made for the fantasy that a child can create in their mind. POP also has buses to itself, where the AS resorts share buses to an extent. No matter where you stay, have a wonder time!

I posted over on your monorail post and almost suggested Pop.;) I really do LOVE the Poly and my youngest asks to stay there again. I recently read a great review of Poly and thought maybe I could go there with DD(5) in May until I looked at the cost. I've got a 7 night stay booked at Pop with AAA for $682. IF I could get Poly at AAA it would be about $2,800.:scared1: I think I'll stick with Pop. She's actually asking to go there now that I've taken my oldest DD(8) and will be taking my DS for his 7th birthday. My youngest is also my picky eater so I know that the food court at Pop will be better for her.

The resort is a lot of fun! The refillable mug has apple juice as a choice (not sure if any of the all stars have that). It also has frozen coke and frozen blue raspberry-my DD wouldn't drink it because it is carbonated. The resort is compact so even the most remote room wouldn't be too far.

The bus service from Pop was outstanding! The longest I ever waited was about 15 minutes in the middle of the day from MK. Even at park closing they would send multiple busses at a time so it never took too long to get a bus. The MK is the longest ride at about 15 minutes.

OH...and just in case you ask about moderates I would reccomend POFQ! It is the smallest of the moderates. I would actually prefer Pop for the better bus service though.

Why don't you go middle of the road and stay at a mod? Marginally more expensive than a value but much more than marginal improvement in resort IMO.

I absolutely LOVE Pop! The design and layout is much better than All Star Movies and Sports (and yes, I've stayed at both) Plus, Pop doesn't share buses with any other resort. :thumbsup2
