Please help me determine which value resort we should stay at on property. We are a family of 4 which consists of a 10 yr old & 13 yr old. We have taken the kids to Disneyworld twice- stayed in DVC properties. We have decided to sell our DVC because the cost to fly out to Disneyworld yearly is too much for us and our kids are getting a bit tired of Disneyland (hard to imagine). So which value resort would we be the happiest in? We will be going in March and staying for 6 days. We are not interested in a suite because we are planning on staying in the room very little. Buses will be important to us, since we will be on the go daily. Thanks for any advice.

Pop Century is by far my favorite. I've tried the All Stars but the busses were horrible and I didn't care for the food court.

Stay at POP and ask for a lakeview room. Or if you have girls you may like the Little Mermaid rooms at AOA but it is a walk to the bus stop, food court and main pool. Either way, you can cross the bridge to eat at either food court and look around. We enjoyed that b/c it was almost like staying at both resorts.

Another vote for POP :thumbsup2 We found it to be very clean, fun theming, friendly CMs, great foodcourt - overall, an extremely enjoyable place to be.

We really liked Pop Century. We also stayed at All Star Music and liked it as a resort - and visiting the other 3 All Stars while there. The downside to the AllStar resorts is that all 3 share the same bus, though in reality I believe the 3 AS resorts have similar guest room capacity as Pop - so it's the same number of people, but AS buses do seem more crowded, especially at park closing. I'd ask your kids which theming they'd enjoy most - are they into sports or music? Movies - and which (ASMu or AoA have different movie themes)? Pop culture sometimes goes over the kids heads, especially 50s - 60s- 70s era, but again the larger-than-life icons at the resort are the standard stuff they'd recognize. We haven't had opportunity to stay at the new AoA yet - if your kids are into those movies, you might like the "new" feel of the resort. AoA may not be available for discounts, though, if budget is a concern.

Enjoy your vacation!

Movies- We have NOT shared a bus with the other AS in 5 years. I believe it is slow they share a bus, which is the max a 10 minute inconvenience. They have updated the rooms and include a fridge now. Food court is nice and my KIDS refuse to stay anywhere else. Maybe AoA will be next, since it is new. But movies screams DISNEY! Bus service was fine, one time at park closing, I felt we waited too long (longer than 15 min) which I think is the norm. You can request the building you would like-ours is the Toy Story Building. Have fun planning! :thumbsup2
