When we go, we will be looking at staying at one of the value hotels. I have heard that All Stars Sports isn't very updated and not a favorite. I also DO NOT like sports ,so it doesn't have as much appeal, but I would stay there if I had too. I heard that Music is the best. So what about POP and Movies? Are they great too? I would love to hear opinions on them. There is no way my Dh will want to spend top price for any of the others, but that is fine with me too. I likethat the values kind of seem guady with alot of Disney stuff all over. I thin kthats what makes it neat to stay there on site.

we chose POP over the the other Value simply because it was the newest...we loved it...

I decided on POP after reading many reviews on here about value resorts! I posted a similar question earlier in the week, and I received the most amount of votes for POP!

Call me a snob, but there is no way I would spend a night in a value.

They scream cheap to me. Plus, so much of the vacation experience is centered around the resort you choose. We only spend 8 - 10 hours in a day at a park, the other 10 - 14 hours are at the resort.

We started out doing the moderets and moved up from there. I would search for a deal and go with Port Orleans French Quarter. You will be so much happier.

Or if you have to split it...3 days POP, 3 days Port Orleans (ending there) your vacation will be som much nicer.

We stayed at Pop in Sept. and was pretty disappointed. Everyones experience is different....for us it was extremely LONG check in!! (although depends if ME just arrived or not)... also our room was located on ground level and had ALOT of noise...guests walking past the rooms at all hours talking and running... If we stayed on an upper level we would not have had that problem.. We also heard water running/toilets flushing the entire time.
Food court was large, although I would avoid going at peak times!!

for us, if we can not to a moderate we will stay off property.. we've stayed at Sheraton Vistana Resort and was very happy.. 2 bedroom unit/living/kitchen.. 2 baths, w/d for $109 night.

I have stayed at all of the value resorts. I think if you have children under 9 or so All Star Movies is awesome. The movie themes are great.:cool1: If you have older children I would go with POP. Younger children would also enjoy POP. I agree with your husband, you are only going to sleep and shower at the hotel. The pools at the values are geared towards kids and are just as good if not better than the other hotels. I will not spend $300-500 :bitelip: to sleep in a bed. I use that $$$$ to buy souvenirs and have fun at the parks.

Thanks for your insite.
I will only be going for 3 or 4 nights max. DH is a farmer and can't be gone long. I have 3 children, but I would only be bringing my 2 year old. The others are 14 and 17 and would be in school, and have been there a few times already.

The cheapness doesn't bother me much. I want the guady look! And we will be in the parks as much as possible. DH and I have traveled for his tractor pulling hobby, and never mind getting just a regular hotel room. I'm not used to fancy, so I wouldn't be missing much. Of course if we got a great deal, then I would move up.
I do not want to stay off site either. I have every othertime, so this is the first on site trip and we don't want to rent a car either.

I would definitely pick Pop... we have stayed there too many times to count and it is always great. One of our favorite things about Pop that makes it different from the other values are the frozen slushies at the refillable mug station...Frozen Coke and Frozen Raspberry (blue). They really are a very special treat for us. Plus, Pop is newer and seems really well maintained. The noise issue we solved by buying MACK's ear plugs at Wal-Mart- child's size for both my DD8 and I and now our sleep is never bothered by noise. Also, make sure that you ask for the 4th floor in whatever section you prefer (we love the 70's facing the lake- very quiet)... it will help keep the busy noise away from your room. HTH :)
