which VA plane for flight from manchester

I have just priced up our flights for august (again) and all the flights say the 747-400 outward and inwardHave they stopped using the airbus from manchester I thought the jumbos were being refurbed. I love the jumbo anyway but my fear being 2 adults and 2 sproggs is being plonked in the middle 4 seats
Anyone know whether its the 11am or later flight that is the airbus and the early or late for return.
Dates are 22/8-5/09.

We go out from Manchester on Aug 5th on Airbus A330. This was booked in October 2011, but only managed to choose seats a few days before Xmas. We return on 31st August but cannot select seats for return yet, so I guess they are still not sure of which plane will be in service

As things stand on the Manchester routes, the earlier flights out and back tend to be the Jumbos and the later ones the Airbuses.

You will be on the summer schedule then which is different to whats going on at the moment.The early flight on the summer schedule is nearly always the A330 and the afternoon the 747. Then on return the early flight A330, late 747.Have you tried phoning Virgin directly? they might be able to tell you.

if you do a dummy run for flights on the VA site this is what it says for your dates...22/8 to 5/9

VS075 says 747-400 out and VS076 Airbus back on your dates

VS073 says Airbus out and VS074 says 747-400 back on your dates

OOhh thanks for that We went on the 747 in november and that was the later flight and did the earlier return flight back and it was the airbus. My figure is to do early flight there and early back if they still availible by the 27th or will have whats left if not will go from gatwick.
