Which Universal ticket should I get?

Hi I will be staying at POFQ for two weeks in oct with my two children 14 and 9. I have Disney passes for the duration and plan to take one day out to shop. My kids are keen to do WWHP and I think my son would like some of the other rides at US. MY query is what sort of tickets should I buy? will a one day pass to IOA be enough to see all we need to ?
I am grateful for any advice as I have never been to the USA or Disney before.
I have decided when we do go that I will get a taxi as this looks like the best option.
Also if I do one other daytrip in my holiday where should I go ?

I'd do two days. With the new ride additions that are happening, there is lots for teenagers to fill two days. You could do two days with one park each, or a two day, two park pass.

Remember, that you can always upgrade your tickets.

We will be returning from a Disney cruise and plan to spend one night at Hard Rock.

We really just want to see Harry Potter! And enjoy Hard Rock Hotel.

Which ticket do we need?

We thought we could do this right after the transfer from the port. Is this doable??

If you're only planning on spending the day at IoA, then just purchase the one day one park ticket. Since you're staying onsite, you should have no problems doing what you want except Forbidden Journey does not accept Express at this time.
