Which type of steak at Shulas?

We are really excited to finally have reservations at Shulas in October.
If you were going, which type of steak would you choose?
I was thinking about the filet, but believe it or not, I have never been happy with filet when I have ordered it at other restaurants.
Your expereinces and advice will be appreciated!

Oh...and by the way, there is NO WAY I am going to try that 48oz. steak! I need to leave room for dessert!

I always get the Filet. DW does the same. It is simply the BEST steak that I have EVER had. And to qualify the statement I am a carnivore. Red meat is me!!!!

If you like prime rib, we saw it the lat time we were there and it is HUMONGOUS and we congratulated the person who ate it. He said it was fantastic.

In all honesty I don't think you can go wrong with any cut there.

I ordered the filet and it was divine. Melt in your mouth and very flavorful. I ordered it medium. DH ordered the Kansas City strip and he liked it a lot, but after tasting my filet he said he wished he got the filet.

I had the Strip (twice) and it wasn't the best I'd ever had (both times)...Which kinda shows how dumb I am (for ordering it twice)...In fact the charred Strip just across the way at Flying Fish is much better. Go with the Filet, I think.

Guess I will be the voice of dissention. During two previous visits I thought the Filet was excellent and to die for. This time around decided to try something different. The waiter recommended the Cowboy Steak(bone in ribeye)Imho it was even better by a slight edge. My BIL had the filet and said it was the best steak he has ever had. He is a plain meat and potatoes man. Imho if you get your steaks done med well or well done, try another cut other than their filet. Enjoy your meal

I'm a Porterhouse man myself. That's what I had (but NOT that 48oz job!!) and it was excellent. Had a rather large tenderloin section--in some Porterhouse steaks, the tenderloin is VERY small.
